I think over the past few years, I’ve experienced a case of “you think you do, but you don’t.” I’m talking about the removal of Titanforging.
Titanforging gave open-world players a chance (albeit slim, but this was fine) to get better-than-expected gear. Getting a Titanforged piece was a “wow, this is awesome!” type of surprise. However, at some point, it felt nearly mandatory for whatever strange reason (perhaps it was the pugging I did back then?) to have Titanforged pieces. I supported its removal at the time, but I believe the current gearing systems we now have are highlighting just how good of a thing Titanforging was.
Now that several years have passed since its removal, I believe Titanforging should return. Removing it was a mistake that ultimately hurt the gearing potential for open-world players. The removal also took with it that “awesome!” feeling we’d get from gaining a Titanforged piece.
I would like to see Titanforging return. “You don’t know what you have until it’s gone” applies to how I feel about Titanforging, and I believe bringing it back will be amazing. Not only will it give players like myself more of a reason to engage with open-world content, but it’ll also help people fill in gearing gaps that they may have.
I miss TF because it basically allowed you to progress into the raid by continuing to run dungeons you didn’t technically need to do anymore.
Now the raids have M+ ilvl requirements, meaning you have to do M+ to get into the raid most of the time. TF was good for me and it was good for other players because they had more opportunities to gear because people would still do the dungeons.
Wow, who would’ve thought removing that would hurt newer players?!?! GEEE WIZ. Hur dur?
Having TF in the game gives you better gear, it doesn’t prevent you from getting better gear.
Anything happening in this subject is bothering you, that’s why I’m laughing at you.
