I would like to propose adding a new "Kilt" type of legs

Now obviously, we’re reaching a point where we’re starting to get some incredibly-detailed armor. But general speaking, the staples are still normally either “leggings” or “a dress”. In Wrath, we saw a new type of leg-armor added which I’m going to call “hammer-jammers”, which are “baggy” or “spikey” around the upper-leg (depending on the texture, really).

Honestly, Blizzard’s gotten a LOT of mileage out of those simple options, but I really think one simple addition would REALLY round things out:

A “kilt” or “skirt”.

Something that it just about knee-height (maybe a tiny bit shorter), where your leg textures are similarly “stretched” just like the “dress” type of legs, however still leaving your lower-legs visible, which would allow you to still see your boots.

This may not SOUND like some massive addition, but I assure it, it could completely shake things up pretty dramatically. You could have all sorts of classic “robes” reused, but with a “kilt” instead of a “dress” for the lower half. And because you could still see your boots, suddenly it opens up a whole new world of transmogging.

And really, it’s just so versatile as an option:

Not only could you have “kilts”, but based on the textures used, they could appear as anything ranging from a kilt, a skirt, an overcoat, maybe a long, baggy shirt or tunic – honestly, the options are as flexible as the current “dress” version which has worked out so well.

Just something to consider!

They’ve kind of added something like this with some sets, like the Forsaken inspired Warfront set for mail wearers. I’d be down for this too. A kilt outfit would look good on my panda, human warrior, and dwarf hunter.

I use those warfront coats in so many mogs it is obscene.

We have seen that they’re capable of creating new meshes for gear, so maybe we can start to see physics on things that aren’t belts. I do love floppy belts.

I have to be careful with certain floppy belts because my waist line is already so low to the floor. xD

I know the images above are just questing gear, which usually doesnt have the added geometry/texture… but it really does them a disservice because they’ve shown they get better and better at making sets with certain designs each expansion.

One day I hope our outfits get the same kind of attention as NPC’s like Uther or Jaina. I am so envious of Uther’s flowing cloak in that one quest you have to go through his memories.

Going regimental will be mandatory.

I’d really like to see tattered pants that I could transmog for my Worgen warrior.
