I would like a permanent Wrath server

I just returned after a long time being away. I stopped subbing to WoW when the Wrath servers transitioned to Cata. I hate Cata and all of WoW that came after it.

I think Wrath is the pinnacle of World of Warcraft and would like to just keep playing Wrath forever. Is there any chance that a permanent Wrath server could be set up, like the permanent Vanilla servers?

I think Wrath is trash, and marks the beginning of retail (not Cata like I previously thought), but I also think you should have your permanent Wrath server.

Every expansion of WoW before the destruction of original Azeroth, and the conclusion of the original story (Arthas’ death) should have at least one era server. I would add one modification: The single dragon raid after Arthas is removed.

One problem I had is I could never level up as fast as the try-hards. I’m a casual player. I played the entire time Wrath Classic was out, and never reached the level cap with even 1 character.

In the original Wrath, we had Wrath with RDF, and I was able to use RDF to level a character to the level cap. I loved RDF, and having it with the original Azeroth and the talent trees and all the original content, it was nice.

We went from “Classic with no changes” which was something I strongly advocated, to “Classic but lets change things I don’t like” which ended up giving us Wrath Classic with no RDF. It sucked.

… and with Account bound Achievements which sucked even harder.

Let’s hope for TBC Era servers, unchanged Wrath and Wrath Era servers this time aorund.

Vanilla, TBC, and Wrath have been said to be the ‘peak of WoW’.

If they are going to continue to cycle fresh, they should have era servers for those who wish to stay. Only makes sense.

I didn’t even bother playing TBC or Wrath classic because of the lack of era servers.

I knew I’d never be able to accomplish my goals in the limited span of time they were out for.

FOMO doesn’t motivate me to play at all.

I totally agree.

I made the mistake of trusting Blizz to make TBC Era servers first time around.

The first evening Anniversary was up, I created characters with my fave names. They still sit there, unplayed, waiting for Blizz to tell us if we get Era servers or not. If yes, I’ll start playing there, if no, I’ll just delete them and hope someone out there will be pleased to have “my” names :wink:

Warmane has a permanent wrath server rn. It even has more players than blizzards classic era server. Also 0 layers. Pay 2 win as well for those gdkp enjoyers.

WotLK isn’t my jam but I fully support Era servers for all of WoW’s expansions, operating in isolation. Let folks pick where they want to play and be done with it.

Ditto… Six months later it’s gettin’ kind of awkward, hey?

Not sure I should admit this here, but I did try Warmane. But I want to play with my dad, and he seems really sensitive to misbehavior in chat. He likes the official servers because Bliz will moderate chat and punish abusive behavior. Myself, I didn’t mind the insanity. But he wouldn’t keep playing it, and seems to be happy playing vanilla, so I came back here.

They’re too busy wasting time trying to make Classic+ which will inevitably be trash.
