I won't pay for this anymore

So; participated in another WBoss yesterday. This is probably my tenth or eleventh WBoss. To date; even with using extra roll tokens, I have never received a gear drop from these. I loathe the terrain in this expansion and I truly dislike the repetitive nature of the world quests.
I truly dislike the professions as the gear you can craft is almost always useless to you once you have leveled high enough to actually make the items. Chances are you will have geared beyond anything you can create.
I am now bottle necked in gear progression I can do Normal raids and i can do WBosses. If there is another way I am unaware of it’s existence.
For these reasons my play has contracted tot he point that all I really do these days is log on for some dailies and check the AH possibly run some island expeditions then I’m out.
I have to say the frustration of never receiving any gear that’s usable
is the most frustrating. I have reached the point that I have begun cursing and wishing harm on people I’ve never even met. That can’t be healthy…
So; I have reached a decision. Should I not be able to play this game for free, then I will simply stop playing.
This product is no longer worth the insane amount per year that it costs to participate.
Sincerely,
IlseWitch/Mallenroh Feathermoon

I wouldn’t call $15 per month an insane amount. It’s cheap compared to any number of other forms of entertainment–eating out, going to see a movie and buying snacks, going to a concert, visiting an amusement park, etc.

Of course, whether to play is totally up to you.

I wonder if you have explored some of the other activities in game. What about trying to get difficult achievements? Finding unusual and rare items? I collect pets, mounts, and toys, in that priority. Some of these items are very challenging to get, and, unlike gear, you don’t throw them away. There is plenty to do, but it is up to you to find those things.

As far as I’m concerned, gear progression is irrelevant. No matter what gear you get today, you’ll throw it away tomorrow. As long as you can kill stuff out in the world and survive reasonable well, does your ilevel really matter?

This entire post is confusing. It’s posted on a level 31 alt and signed by 2 names - one of which is level 110 and the other, according to the Armory, doesn’t exist.

If you’ve been rolling coins since the beginning of the expansion, for sure you’d have gotten at least ONE loot item from a world boss. Whether it was an upgrade, sidegrade or downgrade is dependent on many factors.

This all just seems like a veil to just complain about the game, which is fine - that’s the ‘cool’ thing to do these days, but my god - that’s a lot of garbage tape to have to cut through to make a point that isn’t all that over-stated at this point in the expansions cycle…

So I ask - “why” even post this is there’s so many veils hiding your own words?

It isn’t a veil Just to complain. I have not received any gear from Wbosses to date and that includes from the time of the original post until now. the toon that is showing is an alt on my acct belonging to my grand niece. My complaint got posted this way because I have no finesse with blizzard’s new forum system, which I find wonky and stupid. Next time try not look for conspiracy everywhere. Paranoia is an ugly color on anyone.

Conspiracy? Paranoia?

BFA World Bosses have been up, weekly, since August 12th, 2018. That is almost NINE MONTHS - four times a month - including chances at ‘bonus rolls’ for gear and you’re saying the ‘bad luck prevention mechanic’ has skirted you nearly 72 times now? (9 months *4 weeks *2 rolls [inc bonus])? Then you’re posting on an alt so your character’s loot (Armory) profile can’t be seen and say you find it confusing to log in and/or click the upper-right portion of the screen and change the character there?

Conspiracy … paranoia? What you’re spouting is way more “ugly” (your word) than anything else said in a long while around here - especially behind the guise of “the forums are wonky and stupid” because you can’t click - literally - one button on the screen.

C’mon - you need to try harder than that if you’re going to vie for attention around here…

(Note - numbers subject to slight fluctuation based on how fast you got to max level and continued to play, though not playing isn’t an excuse for not getting gear as - that’s obvious.)
