I wonder if

With the arrival of Reforged people will finally see what Tyrande was supposed to be instead of the MoP and a bit of BfA fiasco we got instead.

You mean what the night elves were supposed to be, not this fiasco we got in all of WoW

I think a sizable portion of the community was old enough to have played Warcraft 3.

I didn’t like Tyrande in the original Warcraft III, and a shiny new model isn’t going to change that with Warcraft III: Reforged.

I’m looking forward to her falling into a river again. That was always pretty funny.

Hot-head, rushing into conflict, and acting on an impulse?

I’m confused. Warcraft 3 already exists. Reforged won’t add anything to her character that isn’t already there.

I think the assumption is that most people haven’t played the original Warcraft III.

…as long as you don’t forget who Maiev and Cenarius are in WC3.

Yeah the Nelves were portrayed as much more savage and warlike in WC3. Both them and the Forsaken make more sense as unique factions but WoW had to narrow it down to 2.

I sometimes wonder if it’d have made more sense the other way around. I guess Nelves and Tauren on the same team would be redundant but the Forsaken could’ve given the Blue Team a grimer edge they lacked up until very recently.

and what tyrande is supposed to be?

I’m pretty sure you could show a whole expansion of Night Elf exposition and I’d still not care about her and her people, at all. I will play Reforged and sigh and grit my teeth as before to get through the Night Elf sections as before.

I have no idea why Night Elf fans continue to insist we should embrace their specific vision for them…

I don’t care about Dwarves, Gnomes, or Goblins either and those lots seems to be just fine with our mutual disinterest in each other.

And that is?

Why are you posting in a thread with a topic you don’t claim to have any interest in?

Tyrande has been the same character all along tho. She’s always been dumb and rushed into battle, it’s nothing new. They looked a bit more savage as a race back then sure but the characters act the same. Malfurion is still a damsel in distress and Illidank Stormedge is stilm his fedora tipping self.

I wonder ehy night elf players are okay with Tyrande slaughtering her fellow sisters to get Illidank out of jail.

The Forsaken being cut down to a member of the Horde was as much a shame as the Night Elves -> Alliance. I mean they went from being a full army of varying undead and necromancers to mouldy human zombies and the occasional abomination.

So someone who acts before thinking? Someone who views everyone but them as enemies even though some of them were fighting the same enemy? Even Malfurion was willing to work with the orcs and humans to defeat the Burning Legion despite the orcs killing Cenarius. Tyrande still viewed them as enemies until Medivh had to slap her around. Honestly the Tyrande we got in MoP was like her WC3 version. Just some people refuse to accept it. Brash and hot headed.
