I can’t really compare myself, it would require a year getting BIS azerite traits with high ilvl, lvl 3 essences, getting echo/infinite stars tier 3 and decent trinkets to have exact same level of power as my main.
As Demon hunter with amount of AOE and self healing it feels fine.
They aren’t all that great on a mage solo. The easiest seems to be hunter, then rogue, then druid, then dk, then mage out of those. Ilvl gear 415-420 generally was what I am basing that on, they all get easier with more gear.
Still haven’t tried my DH since that one is horde side and I stopped playing it months ago.
Havoc DH: EZ peasy for the most part, the biggest issue I’ve had on my DHs is actually overestimating other people’s DPS when in a group
Blood DK: A CC would be nice on pulls where you have two mobs being needing to be interrupted but otherwise doable
Brewmaster: “I NEED MOAR DPS SCOTTY” “She canna do et captain, the keg smash is doing all she’s got!”
Doable, but the lower DPS of Brew means that I’ve had to be more conservative, ended up using an auto rez once when the BDK didn’t need that at all.
Afflock: Did one… failed, re-enforced my belief that blizz hates affliction and “slow” DPS in general (also just warlocks in general).
Assassin rogue: Doable, but pulls are interesting and I have to be careful due to how glass cannon rogues can be.
Visions are kinda easy peasy on havoc and rogues. Feral has been pretty easy too. But even without stealth, the amount of leech, cc and burst aoe havoc brings trivializes a lot in earlier runs.
On my monk, not so much. Not bad, haven’t failed one but still some close calls.
How far you you trying to get? Right now I can kill Thrall solo without too much fuss. I’m going to wait another week or so before doing a two area and kill boss.
edit: my character has not updated yet to give you an idea. I’m about avarage geared neck is maybe 70? Essences are mostly rank 1 if I remember right.
From talking to friends who are doing these and really pushing them, and myself as an sp.
Mage: Probably the weirdest one, the mages I’ve spoken to her are trying to push these things are finding it really easy. Between the 2% per second health food, three different DPS specs worth of cooldowns to pull from, and the superior kiting theyve really been having an easy time of it. Being able to mass pull a whole zone as frost and destroy it with all your CDs, then respec fire and combust a boss down in seconds is… Just absurd.
Shadow: my main. Definitely a struggle to kill bosses quickly, and trash is slower than classes with real cooldowns. You have enough short CCS to stop any dangerous casts though, and if you’re comfortable just running around with a tonne of dotted mobs following you (Or mini boss if you’re feeling clever) then it’s not impossible to go big and fast.
Rogue: Most control, fastest naturally, skip trash, one of the best options. Any area with unavoidable stuns is scary though as you can die in a mass pull if you aren’t careful.
Hunter: Pet class. Good cleave. Good control. Good burst for bosses.
Balance. Same as rogue but ranged and a bit less control.
Don’t know anyone else playing other classes, but I can imagine shamans having problems with full clears / masks compared to most others.
Death grip can act as an interrupt in cases where the mob can actually be gripped. Gorefiend’s does not act in the same though. I have not taken my DK in here, but I would imagine you could grip most non-tentacle, non-elite mobs. The guards in front of Thrall would be the easiest example. Interrupt one, grip the other when it casts shout a few seconds later.
Pretty easy as a balance (granted like 455ilvl, yay for having better gear on my offspec…), I’ve only failed ones where I was trying to push myself for the sake of pushing, but doing an objective+thrall is easy. I think multiple objectives will be a lot easier once I get the talent thing that gives me sanity back when I kill elites, but it’s kinda rough without it doing 2+boss. I came super close, but ran out of sanity with thrall at like 20% (honestly probably could have still done it if I used my cd’s better and wasn’t so cautious with my pulls)
It can, so can suffocate but the long CD on the latter makes it less useful. In all honesty this is all comparing to Havok DH, which feels the best in general. The CC hasn’t been a huge issue for the most part but there are a few pulls that it would be really nice to have.
I have the cloak on my priest, but haven’t even bothered to do the intro vision because of where shadow is right now. I’m curious if Disc/holy is better.
Windwalker is great in Visions. Great mobility. Solid Aoe and ST damage and good self sustain.
I’ve also done them on Ele, Blood, Guardian and Hunter. No issues with any but Windwalker and Hunter were the easiest for me.
Without the timer disc would do “ok” but unfortunately solo visions are made for classes with high mobility and that can pile up a bunch of mobs and mow them down.
The lack of burst is a little rough, especially with that tainted boss that gets a bubble you have to get through (and then Thrall gets the same ability, because of course he does). That being said I was able to clear two areas and kill off Thrall without too much difficulty, after getting the cloak to rank 6 and some decent research progress.
I main shadow and have been enjoying pushing them and doing mask runs etc. I recommend you dust off / grab your cyclotron card trinket from mechagon. Great for the boss damage shadow lacks in these things.
Also the crafted yellow cards have been upped from 415 to 430, so you might be able to make it stronger too.
Currently maining a hunter and lv 8 was ez mode. I’ve been able to hit lv 6 solo on Unholy DK, Fury Warr, Guardian Druid, Fire Mage, Outlaw Rogue, and my DH here. Currently working on the cloak for my Lock and Disc Priest.
None were really difficult. Lock for the first couple was surprising as demons didn’t hold aggro worth a damn. I don’t mind wasting a vessel trying to push what I can do on my different toons solo. At some point I’ll run them with guildies.
