I won Onslaught Girdle in a SR PUG!

So basically “never clear naxx”

Any guild can clear naxx with consumes.

You’ve never cleared naxx

Guilds who clear naxx consume

You won’t be in there

Thats great, and its why I would never do an SR run again. The existance of sr’s doesn’t bother me, I just won’t participate in them

“I never got any loot because im toxic and edgy” of course you hate LC

spoken like a true analytics loser. If im on my holy paladin and I dispelled 200 debuffs in MC but my healing suffered as a result and my healing parse shows up as sub 50, according to you I have failed the group.

These are the same idiots who look at a stat like average lifespan in the late 1800’s and say “Man! People didnt live as long as they do today! Just look at the data!”

Meanwhile the data is skewed due to massive infant mortality pulling down the average.

Stats consisting of 1-5 variables are what fools look at to think they have a grasp on the world and are intelligent. The reality though is that there are so many variables to consider, by isolating so few variables, you don’t actually get a picture of reality like you imagine you do.

Bottom line, a lot of dumb people look at stats to think they are smart

No one cares about healing parses btw to save you a future essay. Just assume when people bring up parses they aren’t thinking about healers at all.

lets do dps then. Yea you got a 99 parse, but you stood in fire which stressed healers for your own benefit, not the groups.

oh you got a 99 parse but you never put up CoR, CoE, CoS, Faerie Fire etc…

oh you got a 99 parse on a fire mage! congrats on the lucky ignites you stole from the other mages!

Man, that druid feral cat really had poor dps and parsed low! Sure I missed the part where they shifted out of form to innervate the heals and combat rezzed a vital player that was downed. THEY PARSED LOW LOL BAD!

congrats! you’re a high parsing warrior who used leather and is as glass cannon as it gets. You never taunt loose adds off dying healers but you parse high! A good player indeed!

Looking at parses is mostly for idiots who cannot evaluate reality without a number to tell them what the truth is.

I said parses above 50 don’t matter, if you’re going to try and teach me something you should read what I said. You can literally die in a fight and still get above a 50

where did you come up with that arbitrary threshold?

Do you know how percentiles work? The average wow classic player is horrible and if you can’t beat the average player then you are very bad. All your examples are bad btw and don’t apply to the vast majority of classic fights.

Huge win! Congrats!

wait, do anniversary players actually think they’re gonna clear AQ40/naxx with SR pugs? lol :expressionless: heck, even clearing BWL will be a challenge.

I know that percentage you are describing accounts for ONE variable. You think one variable gives a realistic view of reality in ANY FIELD?

fool

It does because theres a parse for every fights, a 25 on one fight and 75’s on others means you are a 75 player who probably helped the raid or had something out of your control happen. Its classic btw, when there are no mechanics the only way to measure skill is parse

as laughable as it gets

Name one mechanic in MC that has meaningful effect on dps besides having to decurse, which is solved by restorative potions

I literally don’t even have to. The fact parsing only considers ONE variable is all the argument I need to tell you it is not any indication of reality. Especially skill…

Skill would be being able to clear dungeons in appropriate level gray gear, which would require much more class knowledge than knowing your rotation to maximize your dps above all other variables.

parsing has literally ruined the game as more and more players look to this number being a reflection of reality rather than playing their entire class to its fullest and focusing on the groups success over your own.

SR is the best.

I like rolling on loot.

As a damage dealer in classic there is only one variable to consider. You keep saying 1 variable like there are tons of other variables when basically every fight is stand there and hit the boss. Parsing hasn’t ruined anything, its only made it harder for people who spend 0 effort learning how to play their class, getting buffs, and farming consumes to be carried by people who do those things.

Every fight since the release of vanilla has been dramatically easier with high dps. Doing low dps but “knowing your class” hurts the raid more than a 99 pumper who only knows how to press bloodthirst whirlwind and heroic strike
