I really enjoy playing wow no matter what they add or remove. I figure out a way to play and have fun. I am in a good guild and I help guildies level up. I don’t raid, no heroic dungeons either. I like the challenge of doing things on my own. I wish there was a solo mode where I can clear dungeons and raids alone no matter how many times my toon dies trying. Just wishful thinking. Anyone else?

Why would you want a solo experience in an MMO? That’s like playing DOOM and wanting a dating sim. If you want a solo experience play a singleplayer game like darkest dungeon or retail WoW.

People love to just use the line “go to retail”… but havent played retail in like 5 years so they have absolutely no idea what that line even means.

FFXIV has the trust system where you can do dungeons with an npc group. You’re not exactly “alone” but the bots only move when you do and attack what you’re attacking. Might wanna check it out if you’re looking for a solo mmo experience

And Mage Tower was a huge success.
So, idk what you’re about.
The closest things you can do to this is soloing older dungeons that you over level.
Making a …hunter Twink and going stuff like wailing caverns by yourself.
Go to retail and make a Twink that’s between 32-35 (test each level) and attempt to solo vanilla through wrath raids, warning that each expansion caps at 30 but the NPCs are progressively stronger and scale differently as though they were actually higher level, so Patchwerk can and will dominate you but I know from personal experience that other Naxx bosses can be soloed.

I would love this.
I’ve always enjoyed soloing content and my play time these days is so fragmented that I’m not a good person to group with.
As far as being an MMO goes, real life is an MMO, and I rarely drag four to forty other people along when I’m out in the world.

You say that but you struck me as being against the idea of preserving the 40 man versions of Naxxramas/Onyxia so that they are still available to solo in WotLKC which I am sure many in the “soloing content” crowd would enjoy. Not trying to pick a fight but I would be genuinely curious to know what it is about the idea you’re against if you are at all?
