I wish that Silver Dragon had a volume control

Everytime I get a notice of a boss showing up near me. SilverDragon blows its horn and blow me off my chair. I looked at the config and there is now volume control for this notice.
Or am I not seeing it ??
Does anyone know of a volume control for SilverDragon ?

You’re probably using a rare tracker addon or a npcscan alert. I used them once, very handy, but i’m pretty sure it’s a addon, just look into it and go into the addon options and scale it or disable it or change the notifications.

thank you
I did all that.

I can’t run a rare alert addon. I find it too disruptive. They’re nice to have 1-90 since rares in that content have long respawn time, give a quest’s worth of XP, and drop potentially valuable BoEs, Then you get to Draenor and the rares drop crap and barely put a dent in your XP bar, and the noise drives me insane.

By the time I get to Mechagon and I actually want to be alerted of rares again, I’ve already disabled or uninstalled the addon and just get into the habit of checking the map constantly while in Mechagon.

Speaking of noisy alerts I wish mute pet sounds… actually muted pet sounds.

I can turn off the SilverDragon and that will end the notification and I still see the star on the mini map for the the bosses. But I still like the notice I hear on my speakers, it’s just to loud .

The addon is called Silver Dragon.

Really annoying when there are multiple rares up as you are flying. I have mine set ti Illidans’ “You are not prepared!” So as I am sitting there, it starts spamming and is REALLY LOUD.

Yea, you can change that noticefication to just the drum and horn. But it is still LOUD

I have used RareScanner and SilverDragon. I stuck with silver dragon because seriously I don’t need my computer yelling at me over treasure chests that have nothing in them. But you can change the sound. I use the drum sound. It’s just a single orgrimmar drum beat and it’s not so disruptive.

Is the volume tied to any in-game sliders? If not, you can turn up all your in-game sliders and then control the overall volume with Master Volume or Windows Volume Mixer, or just the volume knob on your speakers/headphones.

Press Esc > Interface > AddOns (Tab) > SilverDragon > Outputs (expand it by clicking the +) >Sounds.

In the sound channels pull down menu select what volume slider you want Silver Dragon to be tied to. I use Ambience. Then go to :

Esc > System > Sound.

Turn down whatever slider bar you tied Silver Dragon to. I usually run low ambience or music but you can choose whatever one you’re ok with turning down. Hope that helps.
