I wish Tanks & Healers did more damage

Too much of their power is indexed into defensives IMO. It makes them rough to solo level. And bringing tanks in PVP is pretty troll.

I liked when any DK spec could be tank or DPS, I thought that was cool.

I also really wish I could rock a Brewmaster monk, I love keg smashing people. But it does no damage, and that makes me sad.

And remember that protection warrior spec? That tried to be a DPS spec? That was a cool concept imo.

As for healers; I really like spell design like Holy Shock. It’s a good heal ability, but it’s also a damage ability. That’s good design IMO.

Tank and healers should have an aura buff if they are playing solo.

Maybe something like 30% more damage when not in a party.

so you dungeon spam until timewalking spam. that, or you buy a leveling carry. your role doesnt matter. it wont be any faster or slower

In patch 8.3 when soloing Horrific Visions, tanks and healers would fight enemies with different amounts of health.

healers will face enemies with 42% less health and tanks will fight enemies with 25% reduced health.

They did the same thing in Torghast.

Tell us you have no idea what youre talking about without telling us you have no idea what youre talking about.

Tanks are some of the fastest if not the fastest solo levelers. Either youve never done it, or you need to get better if youre claiming otherwise

Nah, it’s noticeably slower on these single target-miniboss quests that are all over the place.

Aoeing down regular mobs I couldn’t even tell you. Both tank and DPS regular mobs just instantly explode with 1 ability. Regular mobs are such a joke in WoW I’ve started leveling without any gear equipped just so I don’t get bored.

I wish dps could tank and heal. I’m so tired of being the squishiest class in the game.

I’m a so burnt out on using precious dps cycles to prevent damage from other players’ ignorance. I’m so totally over World of AoE Craft.

Yea and that’s why nobody likes playing tanks in any game ever (except a small minority like me)

That’s why modern games are moving towards dehomogenizing healers and tanks. Like Anna from Overwatch is a perfect example of this design.

I’m going to disagree.

In Shadowlands healer dps was a HUGE DEAL in keys, especially the higher keys. I’ve really enjoyed not having to worry about pugging a healer that can do dps to time the key. Hasn’t been an issue the entire expansion and I love it.

Yes, if the dealer can do damage it’s appreciated but it felt like a huge problem in Shadowlands where Healers were expected to pull a certain amount of damage to get the key done, it’s why Resto Shamans were so popular in SL S3&4.

They do too little damage.

It’s just that regular mobs have 1 HP so how much damage you do doesn’t matter. So you only notice on miniboss’s. Or if you’re like me and take your gear off to make regular mobs less boring.

Regular mobs also deal 0 damage. So all my defensives as a tank are useless as well.

So what youre complaining about is playing the fail safe difficulty of the game and being bored with it when theres an unlimited amount of difficulties?

So what I hear you saying is that you want them to do less healing… because more damage with that level of healing is broken.

I did some M+ last night, 4 dungeons between 17-19 and done between 100-136K DPS… I parsed at best 64% and worst 44%. Tanks do plenty fine with damage.

Tank dps seems pretty good to me. Healer dps should be doubled. We went from healer dps being meta in SL to healer dps being useless in DF. There should be some middle ground. Contributing dps as a healer should feel meaningful. Right now healer dps has no impact on timing a key in almost all situations.

Yeah, doing an entire quest in a single pull and insta-queue dungeons sure is rough.
