I’m a returning player and I’m in love with the art team’s ability to make this world feel magical and alive. There are so many prop items in-world and I wish you could create or collect them in a little space. I’m playing rn and I’m sad to report I’m an ultra casual now, but I wish I had something ultra casual to play with that wasn’t gear / mounts.

I wish we had WildStar housing in WoW.

Same.
I actually use my hearthstone in obscure parts of WoW with empty houses as “player housing” to log out at and use my Draenor hearth with its Garrison level 3 portal to SW/ and Legion Dalaran Hearth as my “real” hearthstones.

imagine if you could have some floating books around your house, or bubbling alchemy sets, the art team on wow is so talented and i want to have a little immersive space to decorate

I don’t understand why the wow team won’t invest into housing… the amount of people that collect stuff just to put in their personal housing is off the hook the amount of money they could make off the shop for housing decor…

yeah, I think devs sometimes underestimate how much we love our characters and would kill to make a personal space for them

I literally know people that play rift and Swtor just for the housing

I consider my garrison home but it would be nice to display things there and customize more

i never understood housing in mmos and I don’t think I ever will.
Someday… maybe… doubtful, but maybe… not. If the devs wanted housing it’d already have been here in the past 18 years. I don’t think it is in the cards.
(I’m pro housing and want it)
that’s ok, we still love you

they become social spaces, too. people tend to think they’re like garrisons where you go in and abandon cities but actually it means people host player events and gatherings on top of collecting furniture for decorating

yeah, never understood why why we can’t invite people to our garrisons

dw i totally understand what you mean. it’s kind of why i eventually move on, because i recognize what i want out of the game isn’t really the vision the devs have
i mean, housing would basically be like garrisons.
you can do most of what you said in them.
instance places like this would just make the world feel dead. imo
you can

I’m only supporting player houses if they allow for a falador massacre situation to occur. If player houses are a thing there will be blood shed. Anything less is just anti mmo imo
I’d (almost) settle for the garrison (as player housing) if they kept up with the expansions.
Things such as new statues, types of buildings, work order choices, changeable minerals to mine, etc. I just discovered this year that the garrison had its own personal wicker man for Hallow’s End, which was handy.
Alas, it was a one and done expansion feature. I still use it almost daily to sell the herbs and ore, though.

Have you guys seen the Hogwarts Legacy trailers? The player housing section looks amazing, and it’s all running on a console that costs a few hundred dollars lol

I think you can solve the “dead” problem by putting the housing phase in Stormwind (for alliance) and not having NPCs such as an AH in them. People would still be in city chat and leave the house for standing by the AH, as usual. Wouldn’t make it any less dead.
