It’s not saltiness, it’s passion for the game and fearful of mistakes that could destroy it all over again. OP made great points. ARE THEY just going to release every expansion, bc, wotlk, cata(?), and then just start over again??? That’s bunk imo. I don’t want any part of that and most people don’t either. All this does is divide the player base further and further, the classic servers will likely take a big hit in player numbers because the PvE crew just wants to do the “new” 15 year old raid.

I plan to play the pre-patch and phase 1 depending on how out of control MTX’s, boosts and the like become. No intention on playing phase 2 TBC and beyond.
Why do some (not all) assume EVERYBODY does this? I’ve got better things to do in this game than bIg NuMbErS. My RP is WAY more important!

I don’t like the flying either but there is still a TON of world pvp going on if you get on the right server. Lots of contested farming areas.
Nevermind you aren’t a pvp’r then because this was literally the best change from Vanilla to TBC because it meant I didn’t have to fall asleep doing ez boss mechanics for gear.
Again as a pvp’r not worried about it as I do not have to raid. But I understand what you’re saying they were put in as a time gate rather then having to actually develop quality game play.
It’s activision, I could definitely see them milking it out. The crazy thing is that the over under wouldn’t be that out of control.
I hated Classic after Phase 2 ended. I played a hunter at the start though and they were left broken in PVP for almost 8 months so that could have been part of it.
Im pvping on a rogue now so TBC is going to be mad fun.

I’m playing tbc because I started in TBC as a young whipper snapper.
For me, all the content in classic was in leveling. Raiding wasn’t that interesting
In tbc, end game is way more fun

It wasnt it was just hyped the game never went in a truly mmorpg direction after Vanilla.The only think I liked about BC were Elekk mounts.
Leveled to 70 on the beta literally didn’t replace a damn thing. No one unless mages can even farm 100 gold per hour in classic anymore because everyone is rich from 1 year of unfettered RMT and has 5 alts.
On pvp servers most people spend their time in instances, raid logged with 80% of their guild, and don’t even fly because level 1s all over Azeroth summon them. Your take against tbc dailies doesn’t make any sense. What are you trying to preserve? Heart? PFFFTTT
