I just don’t think it was a great expansion. Classic has issues, but it has heart. TBC fixed many of the issues but took a big hit on the heart and soul.
All my hard earned gear replaced by level 62 greens? Naw.
Flying mounts? Naw.
Resilience gear? Naw.
Daily quests? Hell naw.
Etc…
I didn’t love the lore or the dungeons either. They were meh.
What… are they just going to re-release every version of the game and do the whole thing over again? No thanks.
My opinion means nothing. But I just wanted to say there isn’t a snowball chance in hell I’ll play TBC.
That’s the joy of choices. Many people are just playing this to get to TBC. Hopefully they do transfers so some of you can play just classic together and the rest of us can go to TBC.
You’re going to be playing TBC while your classic character gets locked away on a dead realm.
That was option A on the survey, and is the option most people are gunning for.
The TBC crowd wants to force all classic realms to progress to TBC with the option the have your current classic character moved to some alien classic containment server.
If we want to keep Classic and have TBC we are going to have to fight for it, because the TBC hype crowd and blizzard want to basically remove classic altogether to make way for TBC (basically making the exact the same stupid mistakes they did back in 2006)
Ok, and?
There will still be lots of people to play classic with, and a lot of people will play both.
One advantage to having both is you dont have to rush to outlands, because in a classic vanilla realm, nothing is getting outdated or changed, you can take your time and accomplish all the things that in the original situation you maybe did not get to do.
Thinking any game is good is an opinion at least. I think TBC was the best expansion. To me it’s my nostalgia.
There will be Classic forever servers. The entire reason they made Classic servers was for Classic Vanilla.
DO YOU think they’d do that mistake again?
Good news for Classic Vanilla Forever. They asked on the survey, official by Blizzard, if people would want to keep their lvl 60s and stay in Classic Vanilla servers and opt into TBC server transfer.
You get your wish bro. I for one will also keep a toon on a Classic forever server if I’m being honest. I’ll be playing both.
Well the thing is the survey states a character transfer not a character copy. So your druid will have to be on one or the other. But its for the best too cause it will consolidate the player bases which will be a plus.
When I think of classic wow fans, i always thought of fans of the classic iterations of the game. Not just vanilla but tbc and wrath as well. Like a family. And all I see here is the “vanilla only” fans acting so salty that people want to progress to tbc. The same saltiness the retailers had with their wall of NO for classic wow.
Get over it lol. You may not like it, but we’re getting tbc. You guys can play on 1.13 for another 15 years if you like. Have your own fun and mind your own business lol.
I would prefer we transfer lol. It works better for us cause then we’re concentrated on servers, and you guys when your realms start to die can all pay $25 and go to realms that want to do naxx for 9 months together.
There’s a 0% chance they do fresh, this game is about character progression.
Hope you guys all can agree on which realms you want to pay to transfer to so you can keep doing naxx months after we’re all gone
There will always be people in classic, even TBC people.
And if at some point classic pop declines too much, i don’t think anyone will need to go tossing out 25 bucks, blizzard will simply merge some realms and you wont have to worry about making sure you transfer to the right one.
And When/If Wrath comes, simply repeat the process as needed.
Oh ya defiantly, I’m sure it will stay popular enough for awhile. I was just referring to the guy above that for some reason is upset his mom didn’t get him milk so he couldn’t have cheerios this morning. I don’t know about server merging but it could happen.
its not YOUR realm. there are plenty of players on your realm that likely want tbc, and also player on your realm want classic, there’s both. whatever Blizzard goes with will be what most people want, and either way there will very likely be BOTH classic and tbc servers. stop being so egotistic and narrow minded. you’re not losing anything. if servers progress u can simply go to a classic server, what are u afraid of? not being on the server you picked? its just the name of a tiny chip data base on a computer in Irvine brah.
I don’t think classic players have a problem with TBC, and most want to play TBC also.
The main issue most people have is enuring we have a system in place that allows people to choose between the two as they please.
At the moment it isn’t really fair because their is alot of talk of implementing systems that will basically leave classic realms dead and force everyone into TBC.
While I look forward to TBC, this feels as though the Classic is being rushed.
Most players won’t even bother raiding naxx if they know TBC will come out 3 months later, blizzard are making the exact same stupid mistakes now that they did 15 years ago.
