Why will you main SV?

I enjoy it.

While I am extremely salty that as SV I can’t use the greatest and mightiest Iron Horde beasts available.

It’s the most enjoyable playstyle for me, I hate having JUST a ranged weapon so having kill shot, serpent sting and melee abilities is great fun to me.

I love SV because it gives off a kind of VanHellsing monster slayer vibe none of the other classes have. Forget about hunting mindless beasts, we got bigger fish to fry!

It is great in PvP and for whatever reason I’ve always liked playing classes that are way off meta in PvE.

I like the idea of a savage mountain man(troll) hunting prey with his primal companion. That and hunters can use almost all the weapons, why not have a spec that actually can, ya know, USE them?

True enough, what I would love to be able to switch back and forth between bow and blade, but I understand people’s dislike for that sort of stuff after years of deadzone.

Probably, I mean I’ve tried all the new class revamps and unless shadow actually blows me away I’m going to stick with hunter. Mabye start of mm or beast mastery but survival is one of my fav specs in WoW.

Unless the loa show favor to enhance shaman and gets more survivability it’ll probably be survival with a pve off spec

Aside from my tendency to enjoy hipster specs and try to make them work for me, SV plays really well. I am very happy that they didn’t change much about the core playstyle. That means SV hunters will have an easier time going to SL without our borrowed power. I like AOE, and the fact that bomb and chakrams aren’t AoE capped is exciting. I may screw around with a butchery build.

Also, I believe in MSV and until they scrap it, I will main it even if it doesnt perform well. (It performs fine right now)
