I dont use them to boost. I play everythig on my own when it comes to pvp and pve but for gold making, i am just lazy. I refuse to farm and kill stuff for hours to make peanuts. Id rather just buy the gold and be done with it. Ill always support this system and Blizzard if youre reading this, keep this system going. My pockets will always support you.

I have bought some of the years too. The only reason was for low level toons I made on high population servers. It was for the purpose of buying pain to get battle pets. The selection and prices are much better than the servers I mainly play on. It doesn’t impact others and I’m still a cheap bargain hunter.

I was like that usually at the start of new expansion when I get overwhelmed with the game but with limited play time. And gold farming becomes my last activity so I resort to WoW token. But not to buy carry. Just to buy necessary resources for flasks, potions, augmented runes and other important stuffs which is very important for me to climb up on raids and Mythic+.
But as time goes by, upon reaching exalted rep, gold becomes easier and easier that I wont need to buy token anymore. BFA and Shadowlands eventually rains with gold.

Nobody is leaving JUST because of tokens sure. But it’s just 1 more thing to add to the pile of crap that is SL. Also the tokens are getting worse and worse, the boosting is out of control, then on top of that the price of everything is super inflated because of the token.
Why would they leave when token buyers are passing out free subs?

$1200 a year? That’s not that much in terms of MMO spending. That’s less than the monthly spending of a competitive BDO player.

When I was raiding heroic/mythic in BFA, I did buy a token once in a while to pay for the consumables. 100k would last be about a month or 2 including the passive gold I made elsewhere.
