I key-bound the one button rotation onto my mouse wheel, spun it through LFR on my rogue and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was also wrong. I thought I wouldn’t use it but I went and did my weekly follower dungeon for rep and I don’t know what my dps was but that dungeon went literally twice as fast as usual.
I normally click my spells and I didn’t realize how slow that makes me…
I did the same dungeon again using a dps meter and my DPS was increased 125% to 400% on fights in that dungeon as I normally do.

Why’d you get rid of hekili before trying the obr/highlight assist?
I tried it on my paladin for a bit on the dummies and after seeing that I was losing ~30-40% of my DPS I decided against working on macros to close the gap and just went back to doing my rotation myself.
Hide the UI and run around without it on. It’s like playing the game in cinema mode.

Tried it on my outlaw rogue. Mostly because I don’t know that spec very well. Tried T8 OC delves with and without. DPS was about 25% less with the OBR and the GCD penalty was… noticeable. Sluggish and not as fun.
That being said, I had no problems completing the delves and if it saves me some pain (neuropathy) I will probably use it. At least on bad days.

Just a rough estimate on my part. I imagine that I’d pull farther ahead if I knew the spec better but haven’t played outlaw much.
But it is a very good rough estimate

I’ve not had good results with OBR yet.
How are people getting good DPS out of it? I have yet to find a single spec where it works better than what I’m doing, and I’m not the best player out there either.
I’m doing this later in first person view
I may even turn on the head bob
