For some strange reason I can’t post on my boosted druid. Says no character match. But I just wanted to ask if this a new thing?
Hopped or tried to hop in a fresh Ramparts team. WAS told to turn on pvp title . I said sorry I don’t have one . I asked the guy what does pvp have to do with this dungeon? He said we don’t run with people who don’t even have scout. Still don’t understand but O well . Not gonna link names or nothing was just curious as to what pvp has to do with dungeons!
People are convinced that if you dont have a pvp title, then that means you’re a boosted toon. They didnt want to play with somebody who boosted.
I understand a handful of gripes about it, but I think this boost/non-boost kind of segregation is unhealthy
You dodged a bullet, as that group would have probably been incredibly toxic anyway. Requiring a PVP title to do PVE content is ridiculous.
There are plenty of people who played all of Classic but don’t have a title because they don’t PVP. Lack of a PVP title doesn’t mean you are boosted, and even if you are it shouldn’t matter. Leveling dungeons are not serious business. Save that for heroics and raids.
I like the part where they investigated to come to a reasonable conclusion that you bought a boost to skip the game and insert yourself into content and they were all like “get out of our group, retail is that way”.
Lots of good karma at play.
Probably true.
This is just more anti-boost nonsense. Has nothing to do with PvP. They would accept BE/DR and they have no pvp titles, that’s cause they aren’t boosted.
Inb4 the congaline of people who strictly pve with no pvp title walk in talking about the false positives they never actually encountered.
Why would this even come up? Not that I care about someone’s PVP titles, or really whether they boosted or not, but I think that an in-game protest against boosts by not wanting to interact with people who have supported them is actually a healthy way to show disapproval.
I’m not pro-boost personally, but I also don’t care enough about the game to care if it’s retail or classic, if I’m being honest.
I want to boost a toon just to troll these tools.
My pally is about to be level 62, only boost gear he still has is the trinkets, I pvped and dinged 60 before the patch and got like 2 pvp items, and parked myself in stormwind to collect rested exp the first few days outland opened, went and bought some green TBC boe’s and did a few quests. My spec is from icy veins, my gear has the right stats, I have played a pally before in wotlk, it’s about the same as TBC, My rotation is simple, and my dps might be lower than a fully sweat geared raider but as I level I notice people are replacing their vanilla raid gear quickly with GREENS because the stats are so much better.
People who are doing this against those on a boosted toon are just being jerks, the only time there’s even a little trouble is if the tank is in full boost gear, and even then if you give him a few seconds to get aggro it’s normally a smooth run. No reason whatsoever for these guys to be acting like this other than the fact that they are salty, and when we all get to 70 no ones going to care.
Ignore them, and blacklist them as well when you come across people like this. Download an addon that lets you put notes by peoples name, to insure that later on you can send some karma their way.
I feel bad for the one boosted thinking it would be fun to play the way they want. Instead get treated like they are. It all comes down to game racisms. but Blizzard did make that 40-70$ profit of of it. i have 2 60’s on pagle and am fine with the boost cause it supports the game i like and want it to keep going an attract more community. but it drives off the community they are trying to catch… so in other words boost is not killing the community. The players are killing it
Gosh, I guess my blood elf will never get a group then!
I didn’t boost but I do not have a pvp title since I joined in TBC- lmao
You should have asked them to equip there nax tier sets… had a bad warrior tank in a group that was trying to tank in the field marshall gear at lvl 66 lol he couldn’t hold threat for nothing kicked him and tanked it as ret with a shield and sword.
Pally in tbc is nothing like wrath lol…
You judge a mob, switch to SoC, spam sader strike. Seems pretty straight forward imo.
Sorry to hear about your experience man that’s really not right. I hope you get some more friendly players in future.
Don’t let that one negative experience put you of tbc is hella fun mate.
It’s fine. Honestly I boosted my druid and I kept a list of a lot of people who /spit on me or whispered me crap about it. Yes I hold grudges.
Tables have turned. So far I declined around 5-6 or those people while making my dungeon groups… I can clear 2x 15 minutes mana tombs while they’re still spamming “DPS LFG” in chat. I even get to be picky and only invite full t3 people who will gladly join my boosted butt.
Going from tanking +22-23s on retail to doing TBC content… feels like I’m playing basketball against 3 years old.
I know a lot of people who want to play TBC but have zero interest in any vanilla content. They want to play arenas and re-clear TBC raids, not level through pointless content.
Thats not even the rotation in bc let alone wrath lol
Dang, the guides lied to me. Here I have been using seal of crusader, judging a mob, then switching to SoC. What should I have been doing all this time as ret?
You should always have seal of command until you have seal of blood you will be seal twisting to play optimal don’t bother with crusader unless it’s an elite it’s pretty much a waste of mana if it’s not going to live longer than 30 sec crusader strike anytime it’s up don’t bother with consecration or exorcism once you get seal of vengance you want to weave it in as it gives you a dot on target while questing leave on seal of wisdom also if you want to save mana use rank 1 of command and judge with seal of vengance.
