I was going to complain but

Going off a lot of the topics in here my topic seems rather… well minimal to say the least.

Was just about to start a tangent about PvP participation and looking at the current leaderboards (more specifically classes/specs I play) and the ratings seem weird like a lot of people just hit 1800 and quit queing.

But going off what I see in the Forums here man. All I am thinking now is PvP is a poopy spot right now ain’t it?

There’s nothing wrong with accomplishing a goal and being done for the season. A lot of people only care about transmog.

Always has been. Every iteration of PVP was always garbage for at least half of the specs

I’m to lazy to rip quote so:

A:) No I agree that if you just want the 1800 mogs and wanna dip thats cool but it just kinda shows how uninspiring the 2100-2400 rewards really are.

B:) Eh I’ve seen worse to be honest but this season ain’t it thats for sure.

Probably has less to do with the rewards and more with the gameplay. I think having a glad drake would be cool, but overhauling my UI, reading/watching tons of stuff on improving, networking to find two people who are 110% intetested in toughing it out and eating dirt season after season while playing 1,000+ games together until we ‘git guud,’ etc. is a pretty big time investment.

Easier to get 18-2100 for low hanging fruit rewards and call it a season.

I don’t see a reason to go past 1800. The tabards and weapons are pretty ugly. I know I’ll never be able to get Gladiator. I only managed to hit 2k on my priest because I like farming honor with him and transferring it to my alts so they can queue for solo and get 1800 for the transmog. You can even farm gold by stacking honor, buying that item from the NPC (I forgot the name, but it’s related to gem slots), and selling it on the AH.

The PvP meta isn’t great, just gotta find what you enjoy and do it. Not having fun in a game is insane so if you aren’t enjoying PvP don’t and maybe come back and try it later

Correct. The community by and large has killed themselves off by creating boogeymen of bots, wintrading, cabals, etc so most people get their 1800 elite sets and quit, despite the vast majority being capable of grinding glad if they just tried.

Some don’t quit queuing either, just move onto a different toon

I just started doing PvP last season after a lengthy wow experience but that’s what I’ve been doing. I pick out the mogs I like, once I get them I move onto the next toon on the list. And I’m still trying out every different mode to see what I like and don’t like. My toons that hit 1800 already I may or not play again this season but I’m still active (and I’m still learning, a lot, so hitting 1800 probably takes me longer than others)

Most of the pvp community just aims for the mogs, and is generally a smart move because if you ever attempt to sweat for gladiator mount you will go bald and gain grey hair by the end of the season due to how stressful it is.

yes it is.
