Blizzard. You don’t want private servers do you? This is how you get private servers.
That’s a promise from people out there. I’d say it’s a little far but other’s don’t want P servers anymore. You’re giving the community a MASSIVE incentive to go back to P servers.
Until Blizzard releases an official statement that declares “NO, Tokens will never come to NA servers” or until after the end of next business quarter, followed by the next content update then I won’t even consider resubbing.
Literally was about to resub today but not anymore. Farewell toxic Blizzard.
PS. Everyone at Blizzard except for the top end and the investors are doing a fine job. You guys are amazing. All of you. The artists, the designers, those in customer support. At least you guys are doing what your bosses want and it’s none of your faults. Keep doing a great service.
It’s fun to bash on corporate greed, but even if tokens came to NA they would do a lot of good. Tokens virtually destroyed the gold selling market in retail, and got rid of all the negative behavior that went with it.
The black market will just readjust itself like it did in BFA.
“Ah man! Now we can’t sell our gold anymore… what we gonna do?”
Sell accounts…
Sell runs for $$$…
You literally think gold selling is that toxic?
Gold tokens are a microtransaction that devalues everyone’s achievements for real world cash. Cash should never replace something that has intrinsic value in the game.
That is the WoW token. The Black Market WILL NEVER go away and the individuals and their consumers will always have something in demand.
Absolutely. I think you are enjoying some selective memory. Before the tokens went in to retail the forums were constantly flooded with people getting their accounts hacked, warnings about fishing scams, and complaints about gold spammers. All those things disappeared overnight.
No. They changed the rules. I promise you I have no sub lmao. Anyone can post on wow forums now. Just need an account.
Literally every P server is different. There are some that even do their own content. At least they try. There were some that tried to stay as vanilla and true to the game as possible.
I grind for hours and hours and maybe even days to get my epic mount and the increased speed feels so good. i worked hard for that. but I also work full time and make decent money. why would i ever take the time to farm for gold in game ever again? Like Amor said. it DEVALUES player achievements. %50 of classic wow is farming gold for consumes and arrows and enchants. Blizzard would completely devalue %50 of their games content. i just pray blizzard chinas decision does not bleed into the rest of the world.
I have to disagree. Many people love playing the game, But dont have the same amount of time to farm the gold needed to do the things they like to do. They can make a lot more money IRL and are willing to use some of that money to supplement their lack of time to play.
Except that’s not how modern mmos should be if anyone wants confidence in their economies. Who wants to compete in game when some multi-millionaire can just be another whale and bypass many of the in game hurdles. Sure it might attract people who dont have time to play the game normally, but it also encourages players to leave who don’t want to use real life bucks to keep up with the Joneses. It eliminates competition in game and introduces outside factors to ruin competitive gameplay.
