I want Vulpera so bad

It always amazes me how people are like “Pandas aren’t part of Warcraft” when they were totally part of Warcraft 3. /Facepalm

Nope, too few Vulpera to make lore sense for being a Horde allied race.

Their capital city is Vulpera Hideaway which features a couple wagons and vendors.

Totally a gag part of wc3 as admitted by the devs when they first released the pandaria announcement. “Pandaren were a gag in wc3, but we promise, they are being taken very seriously here.”

Are you sure they weren’t talking about the first April Fools where they announced “Pandaren Express”, a Pandaren NPC you would supposedly be able to summon and order delivery Panda Express using the credit card on your account? That was definitely a joke, and there were a lot of people back then who thought Pandarens didn’t exist before that fake announcement.

What happens if they only get added to the Alliance? Would you still play one?

I mean, the alliance are already wearing their fur right now. We have playable Vulpera for all practical purposes!

I want Vulpera too. I understand it is subjective.

Well with the brewfest Token the possibility that they might be an Allied Race has improved quite a bit (considering EVERY Allied Race got one with the 8.2 patch).

They also do have quite a bit of customization options for just a PC race; rely on fully updated Goblin Rigs (unlike GilGoblins, who are still using Cata rigs and textures built for them); and have several animations that suggest they are at least considered for a playable option (custom cloak animation, heart of azeroth animation, etc)… They also are getting closer and closer to the Zandalari, and by extension the Horde (and their relationship with the Alliance is “not-positive” at best).

That being said … HOW and WHEN they get brought in is the important part for me. Their base culture is a fine starting point, but it is a little on the shallow side (which means its their growing relationship with their Zandalari neighbors that will help augment that). If they’re meant to be the Goblin Allied race, I also cannot see Kiro being super thrilled to have Gallywix be his recruiter (nor can I see Wix actually wanting to recruit them for any other reason than exploitation).

However … I could absolutely see Gazlowe being the one to bring them in (and that might indicate a long overdue shift in direction for the Goblin PC race as well if he is).

You really have been gone for a while huh? Yeah support keeps getting stronger.

Why do we need this goofy race added? It adds nothing to the game other than making furries happy (and there are already races for furries).

And what race would you prefer?

I know I want Gilgoblins with bioluminescent hair and fins. If blizzard eventually makes these playable, I’d love a similar dark iron treatment.
