Vol’jin should be warchief again. I don’t know how. Don’t much care to be honest. It doesn’t have to be the most compelling writing for me to accept it. If I give it any moment of thought I realise that I am still really annoyed by what they did with him in the story. It was absolute rubbish and the story has gone terribly. So just pick a way and make it happen, blizz. Undead, resurrected, becomes a Loa. Whatever.

Whatever you do don’t drink Ovaltine with the ashes of Vol’jin. South Park already did this with Cartman and Kenny.

So they can kill him in a ridicule and pathetic way all over again? Just to be used as a placeholder for yet another mass murdered psychotic Warchief?
Im still upset about the whole deal, but please, full stop. The current writers can’t do anything to make things right after all that fiasco.
Let the Troll be and move on.
I’ll miss you dearly Vol’jin, the last decent attempt we had as Warchief.

Unless you’re Warchief.
Only to do nothing for a whole expansion, appear 5 minutes in Legion then immediatly killed by trash mob, just to appoint Sylvanas Warchief.

I think it was all “merely a setback”. He was the greatest figure in all of Troll lore imo, such a shame if they don’t keep him around.

Agreed, he was the last Darkspear with any background at all. Have you read Shadows of the Horde? Vol’jin is freaking awesome, but at this point, do you really think the current team will actually honor him? Most likely he’ll be around just because he was a prominent character once and that’s it. I highly doubt the writers will do him the justice he deserves.

I am expecting him to come back. Resurrection is a high probability considering all the things going on currently and the powerful Loa/powers stirring up behind him. Whether that means they force Thrall back on the throne and make Vol’jin his ghost buddy, I dont know but I would prefer Vol’jin breathing again.
I actually love the idea of Vol’jin as a loa

Would be nice to give him a massive power upgrade so the Horde finally has something demi-god level to match with the Alliance powerhouses.

Me too. But I would still like it to be in some sort of corporeal form. Somehow.
The deaths of Vol’jin and Varian were the worst parts of Legion for me.

The Gurubashi know the voodoo to revive dead Trolls. Mandokir came back by taking over another troll’s body and Jin’do found his way back from the spirit realm. So it’s feasible for Vol’jin to come back if they’re willing to do work with the Gurubashi or learn how the Gurubashi did it.

That would be good, I miss him. I always got excited when I had quests to go talk to the warchief, Thrall too. Demi god, loa Vol’jin is a close second. I’d like to see he and Rezan team up to destroy things.

Considering Bwonsamdi is the patron of the Darkspear, i doubt he will have any issue in returning the most iconic Shadow Hunter WoW has ever seen to the living realm.
I can picture Bwonsamdi returning him to the corporeal realm because of how useful Vol’jin has been in the past. The Loa of death was practically forgotten by most tribes and the only being who actually honored it while other Trolls reviled the practice, was the Darkspear.
Given Vol’jin’s close contact with Bwonsamdi, it isn’t completely unreasonable that the Loa can bring the old Darkspear back to the world of the living…For a price, as always.
They’re still trying to figure out who convinced Vol’jin to make Sylvanas Warchief, and I am interested to see who’s bright idea that was. None of the other factions that deal in life after death have anything to gain from Sylvanas’ actions.

At this point, I’d even take a risen as a Death Knight Garrosh Hellscream, please.
Well he does want Sylvanas’s head…

No, once you lose the title of Warchief it should never come back.
Give it to someone else. It’s also tiring seeing so many WoW characters come back to life too. He should have remained dead along with Illidan (who should have remained dead).
