I want Two-Handed Frost DK back

Pretty much a complaint thread. I want to use a two-hander instead of dual wielding. I wanna feel like an Icy Juggernaut.

If you absolutely have to have a dual wield spec wouldn’t Blood or Unholy make more sense? I’m not a weapons expert but wouldn’t having a second weapon help in bloodletting and added defenses with off hand parrying? or Unholy the quick spreading of diseases and what not?

I miss dual wielding while Frost Tanking. It was just cool no pun intended. But yeah I do miss the deadly cold juggernaut look that came with 2H Frost.

I just miss a lot of things we’ve lost over the years.

I want Deathknights to go back to the Wrath model where you could go any spec and tank or dps as well as the option for two handed frost and duel wield in Blood & Unholy, basically I want the Hero class to feel special again and not just another random melee class

I feel ya. I miss MoP Demonology warlock spec. I miss being able to run and cast spells. I miss life tap. I miss just being in warlock tank mode and having cute purple wings with big horns. I miss the glyph that let your dreadsteed run on water.

It was for me. I just miss waiting for the right moment to go demon form and do a crap ton of damage

That dual wield blood/unholy dps spec was so OP lol 33/31/7 or something.
did like x3 the dmg of anyone else for a month or two.

Didn’t Affliction have that “Life Harvest” ability where you basically cast drain life on a mob of enemies and it looked like a green spider web?

Indeed it was and the promptly reverted everything the warlock class Dev made, aside from maybe the Fel Fire quest chain

MoP was the best Warlock design as long as you were a Warlock. Everyone else hated them because they were so overpowered. That said I still miss casting while moving as well.

I haven’t yet gotten BfA, so I’m not 100% in the loop about post-legion stuff. Are Frost DK’s still restricted to dual-wielding even though we ditched our artifact weapons?

it was a very very large complaint DKs voiced when it was announced that frost was getting shoehorned into dual-wielding. blizz did not back down.

sounds familiar doesnt it? us telling blizz we hate something and them telling us they know best? :unamused:

10000% yes. MoP demonology was absolutely my favorite spec/class to play at the time.

Thematically, I never understood why Unholy became 2H and Frost DW. Unholy was always about speed after all, with Unholy Presence originally increasing movement speed and Haste. To me, Frost was like a glacier - slow but irresistible, the inexorable advance of icy death which, imo, fits a 2H style much better.
