Transmog or w/e it’s called (Appearance slots) needs to be a thing in my opinion. It’d be a great addition to SoD.
You could even add an option in options to turn it off for people who, for whatever reason, dislike it.

I doubt we would get full blown retail transmog.
Maybe we can get a keychain toy to transmog if we collect all of a tier sets pieces which changes our appearance to that set.
But PvP’ers will cry about it (not like most of them us Noggen Fogger anyways to hide what they have equipped).
just make transmog disabled when you are pvp flagged
bam, problem solved
better yet, make it an interface menu toggle
bam, problem solved even harder
Yes please
Nope. I want to be able to tell what I’m up against in PvP. Maybe if only you can see your transmogs.
And since someone brought up Noggenfogger, the only people that regularly use that in PvP are druids and that shouldn’t work with druid shapeshifting either imo.
Youre most likely garb anyways if you arent fast enough to realize what class they are with noggenfogger any other visuals…
Transmog with an option in Settings to disable seeing it.
-=MAB=-
Problem solved.
The cool part, Blizzard Accounting, you could have the devs import the Retail armor sets and ‘choice’ weapons as store-bought appearances.
…Mmmm, Tier 6 Paladin with Cleansed Ashbringer.
We can literally change our set bonuses of current tiers to previous tiers while maintaining its appearance. That in addition to the new shoulder runes make it so it’ll be even harder to tell what combination of set bonuses people are using. Let’s be realistic, 99% of PVP is abusing broken PVE set bonuses.
Unless your game play only involves pvping against players that are clearly in blues and greens, armor appearance has less value than ever prior to transmog being introduced.
everyone and their grandmother has r13 gear. there, i solved it for you.
we have 10 toys that changes your race. I´d rather have transmog instead
Lol no they don’t. A lot of them are in BIS raid gear for their set bonuses and come to the forums on their forum alts QQing about PvP balance when they get ganked on the road to AQ or die real quick in AB.
There is a massive difference between an AQ40 geared Shadowpriest / Warrior / Warlock / Hunters / Druids and the ranked ones if they’re not S Key backpedalers. I can often beat the AQ40/BWL geared ones with my eyes closed whereas the R14 ones I have to actually pay attention and use CDs.
Its nice knowing if someone is in tank gear, DPS/Healing gear, or PvP gear before every engagement.
Exactly which rank 14 gear only shadow Priest are you struggling with as a warrior.
None really, but they are definitely harder to kill than a PvE geared one which was my point. Not sure what’s so funny.
Find me a Shadow Priest that prefers a full PVP set over T2.5 lmao
Try asking in the Priest Discord so they can laugh at you.
Can you ask for me and and email me at idontcarelol@gmail.com ?
Bingo.
Thats the r14 mentality and then make clips in YouTube.
Last Dmf in mulgore a horde gank me while i was getting my Buff and started fighting back at mid HP. I was full pve like 4k Max HP and after killed him he loged into his alliance and called me trash because i’ve used divine shield, he was a r14 Warrior and he used shield wall. Ironic and pathetic but this IS the mentality.
+1 no reason for not having transmog on a ‘seasonal’ server
Unless you’re a PVP baddie that needs to suss out under geared players to gank
Transmog would be great to have, its the only thing I miss about retail other than my rare mount collection
I’ve always been against putting transmog in SoD for several reasons, but my big 3 were PVP, loot, and Classic reasons. I’ll explain but, they WERE very valid until now imo.
PVP - It’s just plain annoying. In general, players will always use any method possible to obfuscate their appearance for any advantage possible, no matter how minute it is. It isn’t hard to play around at all, but anything that can hide what you are just takes away a little bit of the fun.
Loot - There are always selfish people who do dumbass rolls on gear they don’t need and cause unnecessary problems. “It’s for my transmog set bro”, well it’s also an excuse to need roll whatever you CAN (not will) wear and leads to people needing on stuff for vendor gold or to DE later for mats.
Classic - It will make the game look/feel like retail. That’s a broad statement but there are so many different reasons, from half of the people looking the same to having to inspect people because their gear doesn’t reflect their roll and you want to be sure your healer isn’t actually wearing tank gear lol. A thousand little cuts that slowly remove that look, thus the feel of the classic-ish version of the game I love.
But adding transmog NOW? At the end of a SEASONAL game mode? Dude, have at it! Give players any reason to get back out there doing content. My problems with it are irrelevant now, I got to enjoy all of SOD without it like I wanted.
(Unless, though it won’t happen, they move into BC SOD. In that case “noooooooo”)
