I want to raid, but I don't want a 2nd job

not the same thing tho not even close lmao

it took me less time to buy my own house than it the amount of hours i put in working for a ‘‘chance’’ to raid

What exactly is the time investment beyond get 1k anima for the week, which takes like an hour, and maybe farm legendary sauce if you don’t have gold?

I never cared for mythic raiding personally. I’d rather be in an RP guild and just enjoy myself casually. If I want the best gear, I’ll pug a weekly mythic+ and call it a day, no commitment required.

Had so many friends leave after Wotlk called raiding a 2nd full time job.

The game is designed around raid loggers who used to take breaks between raid tiers and at the end of the expansion. Now they have to keep logging in daily or they fall behind. Everybody else gets swamped.

Ion is a raid logger. He doesn’t do his chores and his honor level is 5.

back in bfa if you fell behind in AP u were atleast 2-5 percent dps behind which can result in being sat noone is sure how things will go forward right now tho but people are prob worried if they have to do world quest tours just to keep up this time around most likely

its a wait and see thing for now

Thats what LFR is for.

LFR is nothing but hot garbage for the last what? 3? 4 years?
No thnx.

Either you put in the work for gear and the raiding experience or you don’t. No ones going to hand either of these to you.

But i want my 26 alts to be heroic raid level… for reasons.

There are difficulties to raiding. Unless you’re doing mythic prog, I don’t see why it would feel like a 2nd job.

OP, what did you used to raid? LFR? How could you possibly have multiple characters ready to go without investing time into them first?

They will for gold

Right, thats what I said. No ones just going to give you something, you have to earn it one way or the other.

All you need to do to raid in this expansion is doing your renown (takes like 2 hours a week MAYBE), and torghast. That’s it.

I raided normal in Cata-MoP and heroic in Legion (which were the same thing).

I had two characters I raided on, later switching to just one, and the only limiting factor was the RNG legendaries which actually led me to quit the game when the warlock I wanted to raid on got three garbo legendaries, as friendly DPS contests with guildies is pretty much the only fun thing to do when we’re pushing through farm content.

Yup, and I did that back in Cata-early Legion, wasn’t there for BfA so can’t comment there.

Putting in the same amount of time now feels less rewarding than it did back then. That’s the problem: I’m willing to do the work, but not so much so that WoW becomes job #2.

Shadowlands has been out for a few days and you’re already wanting hand outs. You do realize that near the end of every single expansion, the restrictions do loosen up, right? Relax.

I’d rather they start without these arbitrary restrictions, then. Not sure what they gain from making the game so alt/alt-spec unfriendly early on.

Doesn’t mythic dungeons covers this though? I get what you’re saying, but I leave the raiding to the new generation of players. Still I have put off raiding for about 2 years or so. I can try to get back into it.

There’s barely any grind in this expansion O.o

Only daily grind you could really argue for is the maw grind.
