here’s the thing, i just finished watching a documentary about genghis khan and want to make a character inspired by him. only issue; i can’t figure out what class to go with. warrior or paladin seems obvious (he thought he was divine) but… i already got a warrior, and human male paladins tend to have a bad reputation.
what class would you folks recommend i go with?

You may be able to fit a Ghenghis Khan-inspired character into being a Shaman, but humans can’t play those.

oh! and hunters get that yaungol-lookin set from heart of fear/terrace of endless spring/mogushan vaults! …though, that might be a little… on-the-nose… or… incorrect (i’m not 100% sure that helmet is accurate.) still, that DOES give me a lot to think about.

I made this toon based on the tocharion, a precursor that traveled the silk road. Monk is viable for Genghis, and also hunter, since he used a bow the most.
And if you want that melee feel you can do Survival.
Hunter is probably most appropriate though. Their cavalry was their advantage and why they were able to do what they were. That and Subutai.
You can play your HMP anyway you want, though. He doesn’t have to be a jerk.

This may be my age of empires player talking but, marks hunter seems like the best choice for genghis khan. Not only was the empire known for cav archers, he was one of the most powerful hero units, as a cav archer in age of empires 2
