Real quick and simple. I don’t have an extra $20 to donate. I am poor. It is what it is. Laugh and joke all you guys want, doesn’t bother me anymore. I use gold to play this game for free, and I have a lot of gold. I want to buy a bunch of tokens and use the gift card balance to continue to donate to Bluecheck Ukraine, but Blizzard won’t allow me to do that. Will only allow me to purchase the pet once, and then only as a gift, that’s it.
I want an option in the store, to just donate $20 please, and I’d be able and willing to donate a good $100! Something that would literally not be possible otherwise. Please let me help!

Well that is noble of you. A poster above might be kidding but gifting the pet to others is also a good way to donate more via in-game gold.

Dang should have told me before I bought it myself 
They should have made the price lower for just 1 retail pet like they did before for a charity, or add the option of just adding $5 to monthly sub price without the pet. It just seems weird getting a classic pet I will never see, I don’t have it installed.
I would give $5 for a temporary title that lasts 7 days: “The Donator” or something like that, and make the title glow bright red for that week to help raise awareness. $20 is a lot for some to afford, especially younger players.

There are probably legal reasons blizz can’t allow you to donate using in-game gold.

there’s a reason blizz didn’t offer that as an option, and I suspect i has to do with legalities or even picky accountants, who knows.

Can you not donate the pet to somebody else randomly?
Right they are not using their money as donations.
Honestly I think that’s it. That makes sense. That is technically blizzard’s money because they sold the token.

But there is no difference on the back on between gold converted to gift card balance and money added to gift card balance. Otherwise, they wouldn’t allow you to use your gift card balance to purchase the pet, which you totally can do.
Can you buy a gift certificate with blizzard balance?
