I’d really like to get some old, rusted, falling apart, dragged out of the grave with her armor for my undead warrior. I’ve used the ‘gateshattering’ plate for years but it’s not really there, you know?
I’m really hoping the undead heritage armor, if it ever shows up, will be like armor that look like it got buried too, preferably with options to make it look like any armor type.

Nightborne, Lightforged Draenei, and Zandalari trolls all look like that in the forums.
Armor doesn’t get buried. It is salvageable. Either smelted for new pieces or for recruits.

There’s a shield in DF with arrows stuck in it so that’d go nicely with some battle-worn armors.
I’d just like armor that actually looked like the type it’s supposed to be. I mean, lord, all the tier sets for the past… forever… are TOO based in fantasy. Yeah… that leather armor from SoD last expansion? Not leather. It looked stupid. It all looks stupid.
Technical issue or some kind of foreshadowing?
Perhaps the closest you can get to something like that is durability = 0

Depends on the culture. Lots of warrior types are buried with their armor and a full arsenal of weapons too. Although in the case of the undead… weren’t they sort of risen off the battlefield?
You will have to go back to the Burning Crusade on Outworld. 
Man if durability damage showed that’d be wild.
Sorry, just kinda zoned out thinking about all the arms an armor in museums that cam from burials. What were you saying?
Now,my imagination is taking affect ,while fighting the armor falls off one piece at a time along with one arm and then leg til you are a pile of bones and armor. Easy way you can get out and in a situation 
this should happen as you take dura.

There’s a grey item that’s a broken sword graphic that drops from trash on Argus that I’m not sure is transmoggable.
I would rock that Aragorn broken sword look, Blizzard.
Many of the Wrath of the Lich King plate armor pieces and weapons have the battered look down.
The closest I can imagine we have is the Nazjatar armors as something we unbury from the ocean floor. 
…and then the Brawler’s guild outfits though leather has often had that cobbled tattered look.
