I want Reforging back.

Short and sweet.

I feel like now, more than ever, with Warforge/Titanforge and pure RNG of looting in general, I would like some sense of control on my character's stats. "Higher item level = equip" is just not as enjoyable as pre-planning your BiS and trying to acquire it, it's just not.
Agreed...but we'll never get it. Having some modicum of control over our secondaries would lessen the desire for many to chase that 'always just out of reach' carrot on a stick. Suddenly "oh man, I need that one specific piece to meet a haste threshold" turns into "well, reforging on this higher ilvl piece I got will get me close enough to that treshold...I can live with that!"

....and that leads to less hours played. Not a good thing for Blizzard when they base everything on hours played metrics now.
I loved reforging. That to me was fun. I felt far more in control of my own power that way. Go grab my gems and enchants, get them applied, then reforge away to my own needs at that point.

It felt kind of bad to be told that players found reforging too difficult or too hard to understand. I never heard anyone say that. I did hear plenty of comments from people that liked it as a micromanagement system however.
Reforging means less grinding which means less hours logged each month.

isn't happening.
reforging and pvp vendors back pls
It would need a higher cost to make it prohibitive, so you can't just reforge everything to BiS for whatever spec you want to play any given day. Wasn't the cost back in Cata just the vendor value of the item? That's next to nothing...

...and there's nothing wrong with that. Reforging was only 40% of the undesired stat. There is no reason to make it prohibitive.
So you want Hit and Expertise to make a comeback in other words.

I'm thinking of a way to bring it back that the Devs might actually accept. Bringing it back the way it was, not going to happen in today's WoW. But the return of Vashreen shows that they are open to some possible changes. Prohibitive isn't ideal, but its better than nothing at all.

Players meeting Devs half-way needs to become an acceptable choice. The alternative is screaming for something you probably will never get, and either submitting to that fact (those who keep playing even tho they loathe the content) or quitting altogether. The former is a win for Blizzard, the latter a win for the player(s). Compromise is a win for both sides.
Eh, I wouldn't be opposed, but without breakpoints you would just view every item in its reforged state.

They could even make an add-on for it.

If for example your stat priority is haste > crit > mastery > vers every item just becomes it's base stats then if it's not haste & crit the worst secondary gets reforged to the best one not on the gear.

Very mechanical.
And who will get this reforging ? People that reach 120 will not have enough secondary states to to balance their gear when they start with their first azerite gear.Or is this for just warforge and titanforge gear?
Honestly, I’d love the ability to craft exactly what you want it to be. Add plates to increase armor, add magic to increase HP/Spell a power, gems to dictate secondary stats. Magic thread for quality/durability. Chance on craft to get proc/use effects based on player skill with just a a touch of RNG (titan forge/bonus secondaries).
