This would be so cool, and it’s what I have been wishing WoW would add to the game back when I was a kid doing Dead Mines with randoms like 20 years ago.
I would love this, I wish they would update the garrison or make a new one that’s account wide. Have our characters walk around and do things and there is a ton of content you can add with all of that.
While it had a few flaws, overall I loved my garrison in WoD, I was sad to see they abandoned it. The whole reason I’m still playing Alliance to this day is because I swapped from Horde at the end of MoP for the human garrison and because I loved to play the underdogs in battlegrounds even if it was rough at times.

I want to transmog the Elite Tauren Chieftain band outfits to my Warband and run dungeons with them.
Arcanite Ripper and all.

And umm, that’s all I have - but it’d be nice to have those other mechanics that I’m familiar with helping me along.

This came up in one the interviews Ion did at Gamescom (think it was with T&E). They’re interested in the idea but there are technical issues that they’d need to work out was the gist of his answer.

Ya it’s basically confirmed. Ion says it’s something they want to do and are looking into it. The “issues” are things like not wanting it to be a clearly superior way to level multiple characters at the same time and stuff like that.
This would be nice, even better if some of your character says random things to the character your currently playing.
Like if my pally tells me to stop stuffing my face with fel-magic and come to the light side 
Imagine if AI mapped your played personality type, internet presence, and applied it to your alts in said dungeons. You would be playing with clones

I love that the game is becoming solo/full time employee friendly now. Some of us dont have friends and cant spend so much time in game.
I get how people might like their alts as followers, but frankly, I don’t want anyone playing my alts but me.
Perhaps a toggle might help.

I hate the default followers. Why did the rookery get unique followers by every other Warwithin dungeon has the default 5 followers from the beginning of the game.
It would be cool, but it should not actually level up the character. They should be limited to leveling as the normal delve followers. There’s no reason you should be able to level a character while not playing it.

The only real way they’d be able to do it is reskinning NPCs already programmed as followers. Getting your alts to play like your actual alts would require a lot more work than I think people have considered.

It’s a great idea. Might wind up yelling an alt for doing something silly, like repeatedly standing in the path of a mine cart, but it’s still a great idea.
Also link them to a chat AI so you can have conversation with them.
That would be a great feature.
