By big bad army you mean mass produce gryphons and dragons

I was there Frodo. 3,000 patches ago with my 6 rangers and a ballista watching my doom descending upon me in a 1vs1

The campaign though. That was legendary.

I’ve seen some decent SC2 custom maps that kept me occupied in short bursts

Reminds me in WC2 when a friend n i would team up, i’d always be air support with an army of gryphons. i’d also do the same with SC1 with an army of Protoss Carriers :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Hah why does everyone got that plunderstorm mog on the forums, another reason i will never use it

I want one too but I don’t think it will ever happen. If it does, cool, but I don’t expect to see another RTS like Blizzard used to make.

My friends in the outer campus dorm formed the Protoss-Terran alliance. Battlecruisers and carriers

I had 6 mutas. My team of newb friends had like 4 zerlings, a single torrask, and a queen. We always lost

Except in the “very slow” planet. They conceded because it took too long lol

We had a whole solar system of worlds that I built in the editor

Would love an new warcradt rst.

because its a good mog? if you refuse to use something that everyone else does, why tf you playing as an elf btw

I dont see that many NEs , its all dragons and the Earthens … lol

plz, no

Would be good, but certainly not with the current Blizzard team to be brutally honest.

Footmen Frenzy, imo, was the best fusion of a MOBA and RTS I’ve ever seen to this day.

You had your hero and that was like your alpha, your queen on the chessboard.

But then you had your units and that’s what gave the game micro. You could micro your way around gankers and gank your away around micro warriors, it was sooooo good.

ENFOs was probably the best lane based PVP I ever played. Instead of attacking the other team directly, each team’s player had their own lane they had to clear waves. The way you attacked people was there was a shop and you bought summons and meta attacks as the PVP. So the better your team did in their lanes, the more they could harass the other team with various powers, there was like mana drains, stuns, summons, it was wild.

I want a warcraft rts that has variable maps.
Like you load in and every time there’s unique choke points/terrain, npc nodes, resource nodes.
Completely black fog of war, with maybe like vehicle tracks from the main road showing the direction spawn points had been appointed. I just hate playing rts where its like “research/plan optimal map layout, practice for a few matches, then do whatever unit build there is to counter your enemy”. It caters to one crowd and its almost entirely pre combat prep. (micro is another thing, but lets be real nobody is micromanaging a 10 man army on the level of 10 man rbgs, which limits unit design immensely)

I think smaller armies for micro is actually a good thing in rts, like if you’re playing a 4v4 with 60 combat units each team, then in the case of wow you have like one person focusing on ranged support, another on assassins or glass cannons, another on your frontline/peals. Once armies get too big no matter how quick your apm is your combat strategy will always have mistakes if you’re managing 50+ units with abilities.

I prefer smaller armies with promotion mechanics, like Company of Heroes. I still play that.

Men of War is like that too, squad based instead of churning out 2,000 marines and blobbing them like Command and Conquer and blowing up tanks with machine guns.

I think the best mass army RTS I played was Supreme Commander. That game knew how to do attrition because it knew how to use the map resources. If you don’t have energy, it cripples you. Unlike other RTS where your resources are a binary number that you bank up.

I want a warcraft text-based rpg.

I type “I look around”

You see trees

I type “I walk north”

Goblins gank you. Game over
