I wanna be a fox, build a lil house, start a farm to keep myself fed, automate the farm and other such things, build a small army/mercenary group, build a ship, put supplies onboard the ship, then sail off and go on adventures (but need to like, eat and drink along the way).
Maybe not WoW itself but I feel like a spin off game like that in the WoW universe could be cool (as long as I get to be a Vulpera and get to dress myself up however I want and the like, and can actually customize things like decorate my home and my warship and such).
Nothing wrong with a saturated market if you bring something worthwhile to the table. Valheim is the best survival crafting game I’ve played so far (but I can’t be a fox in it).
Didn’t know Blizzard were developing one though. :v
I’d suggest Subnautica or Green Hell or Subterrain or Long Dark or State of Decay 2. Or even something like Last Train Home for a slightly different take.
I like Valheim, though it’s really best with friends (a bit too grindy solo, though I still enjoy the way the building works in it and a lot of the ideas).
We can capture our buddies in orbs of Titan origin and they include everything from infernals to murlocs to druids in beast forms, because those should always have been tameable.
We put them to work in RTS style bases, or just use them as mounts. This entirely original game concept could sell at least 8 million copies if Nintendo doesn’t go after them first.
I really wonder what their cancelled survival game was about. Usually whenever Blizz dips their toes in a new genre that game is generally successful. At the beginning at least.
So even if it was another zombie survival base building game, but with magic, it could have been a decent game. Until not and put in maintenance mode like HoTS.
Project Zomboid is the only survival game I need anymore.
I used to get that fix from Fallout 76, but they completely gutted penalties for not eating, sleeping and drinking, so basically they turned it into World Buffs and Consumables: The Game. If you thought world buffing and buffing was insane in Classic, you haven’t played 76 lmao. You could lose your mind trying to get all the buffs in that game.
Would a fox survival game be like… sleep in a thicket. Eat a rabbit. Pee on stuff to prove its yours and spend all night making the most horrendous sounds imaginable?
Yeah that game can’t be explained to people. The best explanation I can give is “imagine if the first episode of The Walking Dead was a video game”.
But when they actually play the game, they realize they are playing the most unforgiving sim you can touch lol. New players usually spend their first 30 hours collecting spoons, boiling rags and searching for metal pipes and leather jackets lmao.
