How hard is it to let us have one (1) space in our names? All my characters have last names and I can’t show them.
Would giving us one space be so bad? I spend lots of time coming up with my characters names. I like them to fit their class as well as personalities. It’s pretty RP heavy, which I know a lot of people don’t enjoy, but I feel that even people who do not RP would enjoy having the option for first and last names
Please?
Edit: It could even be an option to have a space instead of a title to prevent names from being too long.
For example: If you want to have your last name, you can’t wear your “Champion of the Frozen Wastes” title
It could be a sort of “fill in your own title” option

By the time you give them a full name you don’t even have enough for a last. I can barely fit a full and last name into the box for the characters I make.
So don’t just allow a single space (Maybe a ’ too as a lot of names I think of have those for races that fit to have names with those), make the name space a little bigger with it.

I would use the Total Roleplay addon. It allows your character to have a last name.
Mine is Sentroc Rorick.
Its very much worth it.

I know that feel. (misty eyes)
Ooh yes, I forgot to mention that. Character limit would need to be increased.
We’d need like 32 character limit or something. Definitely more than we have now

Love the last name idea!
As long as it’s optional…

You know this would actually be awesome, if we could have first & last names… This would allow us the use of almost any first name we wanted so long as the last name makes you uniquely identifiable. I hate choosing names on a character, anything decent is long gone, and alt characters make it hard to send mail, whisper, or invite each other.
Yeah, lets do that.

I’ve wondered sometimes if last names would be a solution to some of the server connection confusion. Instead of having Elune-Gilneas-Auchindoun-Cho’gall-Laughing Skull, they could unify it under one new server name and give characters last names so the duplicates on the different servers could coexist after the merge.
I like it sounds like a fun idea.
My DH, has 12 characters in her name, because I wanted her to have a long name. Perhaps 24 characters will be suitable, 12 letters for each name.

I think 24 sounds good. The names I would have for my main and alt both need ~19.

You can have one. But only if your last name is Jenkins or Ironbane.
I half agree with you, I really want to be Adrian Ventura again, not just Adrian V, but having played games where you get last names I’m also not interested in seeing variations of Ben Dover and Dick Hurtz
We see names like that currently. It’s nothing new
There is a reason we can’t have surnames. And it’s due to my server,
Moon Guard. If the pervs of moon guard had two-word names, it’d turn into a
vile, perverted, trash circus of TOS breaking names and blizzard would have to hire 20 more GMs to deal with it.
I’d like them to do the legacy system that SWTOR has.
You’re on Blackwater Raiders. That’s an RP realm. Download TRP3. Problem solved.
Yeeeah not really? Because having last names as an official part of your character name would finally make it easier to come up with a decent name when making new characters. Not everyone wants some long gibberish name or to put accents everywhere.

Imagine being able to use a good name just by putting a last name to it instead of adding an double letter somewhere in there initially just so that you can use the dang name that’s somehow been used already.
Somehow everyone used every generated name under the sun and I swear if I could just put a last name within it I can use the dang name too.
But…why? All the npcs call you “champion”, your just known as “champion” in the game, they don’t even address you by your chars name. This is World of WARcraft, not World of FFcraft. FF14 having it also does nothing special for their game.
