It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s just…perfectly acceptable. Hard to explain. I’m sure she’s popular. It fits in with everything else I hear.
I always weird out at threads like this because they usually devolve into people trying to out-obscure each other in what they listen to, to prove they are more art house than the next person.
The only real “new” artist that I’ve gotten to genuinely like that I can think to post would be Khruangbin. They’ve only got a few albums out, but a lot of what I love is jazz or jazz-influenced and their vibe just hits me.
I actually love them. Is jazz something you’re really into? Do you like the Spanish elements? One of my favorite jazzy popish artists in Ane Brun.

Yah, she’s not really my thing but I can respect it. There might be some other songs in her discography I might be more into but it’s a bit boring for me, I like a little bit more energy i guess?
Though that style is definitely simialr to some of the stuff sukekiyo has put out. They have a new album coming out in August or something I plan to pick up.
Their Mosaic Shojo song has been a huge favourite of mine and been having on repeat.
I think I like to have a little bit more rock and or roll in my music is prolly why she doesn’t vibe for me.

They kinda fall into some of the artists I have been into lately. Jess and the Ancient ones does some fun jazzy kinda stuff.
There was like this whole wave of, modern bands playing boomer dad rock like the darkness but more spoopy and occulty and often female singer lead. i think they were all kinda all came along when Ghost but it seems a lot have gone on hiatus or broke up. jess and the ancient ones are still active thow and i really love this song because its just so catchy and fun
