I want a cowboy hat!

Riding on the range, I’ve got my hat

Mulgore take one from a tauren child.

There are plenty of Aussie hats, just not American West.

That’s my all time favourite comical satire song.

Pretty Fly for a White Guy is a runner up, plus most Weird Al songs

I wanna be a cowboy, baby.

I didn’t say there aren’t cowboys in Australia. That doesn’t make an outback hat the same as a cowboy hat. They’re two distinct styles of hat.

I need that hat on my Vulpera so HARD!

But then you have to play FF…shudder

I don’t see the issue?

I suppose it’s a great game if you’re into cool looking hair

Of course there are.

Fun fact. Alan Rickman is in this.

well, it’s better than current wow anyway.

Gross. More reason to never play that game again.

Whilst I cannot help you to procure a cowboy hat, my love, I am more than versed in the methods of the cowboy styling. If you should ever need pointers on positioning techniques do not fear to call upon my services.

Luci! Nice to see you!

“Quigley Down Under”

The kind of movies you “settle” for being in, when contractual obligations to something like “Magnum PI”/whatever cause you to pass on “Raiders of the Lost Ark” (which of course, made “that other guy” a superstar  )

Apparently from a screen test, for “Raiders.”

Selleck was not able to take the role because he was committed to Magnum, P.I. (1980). However, that series did not go into production until Raiders ’ filming had already wrapped.

OUCH!

I love that you posted this because I’ve been on a Magnum PI kick and read about that! It’s hard to believe but sadly that happens to quite a few actors. It’s what kept Pierce Brosnan from being James Bond initially. While it stinks that Selleck missed out on that role I just love him as Thomas Magnum. He really helped shape that show and you can see the chemistry between him and the other main actors. I read, some time ago, he even made it a point for his fellow cast members to have their own story arcs. It also allowed him to do movies while still shooting Magnum PI.

Thank you for bringing this up! Today has been a mess and I needed that pick me up.

This is the best Western movie EVER. I watch it at least twice a year. And it’s one of Alan Rickman’s best performances, too.

I need to see if it’s available for streaming somewhere. I’ve got the urge to watch it again.

Fun thing I learned about Alan Rickman is his first movie role was Die Hard. If you happen to have Netflix they have a series called The Movies That Made Us and one of the episodes is about Die Hard. You learn some pretty cool stuff. Also a fun bit about the scene where Hans Gruber falls to his death.
