Druid already has 4 spec, while dh has only 2 specs. And evok had 2 and got up to 3 specs. So this also makes sense that other classes could also have 4 specs.
I suppose blizz has many ideas to create more specialization since looking at some hero talents on warwithin. There are many kinds of classes and abilities that players dont have.
What kind of new specs would be cool for your class? I would like Justice paladin (its actually lore-based spec. Alonsus Faol presented a set of enchanted librams to the first five Knights of the Silver Hand. And they were Retribution, Holy, Protection, Justice, and Compassion)
Justice paladins may have abilities like thisâŚ(uses strength and wields two handed weapon like ret paly)
âMastery: Justice demands retributionâ
As much as you and your each party members take damage by 10% of total health, Paladin gets 1% damage increase, up to maximum 30~60%(increases by mastery). This effect slowly diminishes when out of combat.
âPassive-put your faith in lightâ
Paladin heals 100% of damage done to injured allies, spread evenly.(increases to 150% on pvp)
âTalent-The light shall protect meâ
Your duration of Divine Shield is increased by 7 seconds. And will never be dispelled (so your bubble is now 15 sec)
Also for hunter, make âshadowâ specialization. Dont we already have shadow priest? Yes but we already have holy paladin holy priest, and restro druid restro shaman. So why not shadow hunter?
Yes, Paladins need a gunslinger. You would have two modes, a city mode where you pick up quests during card games and a country mode where you would dress in black and take the quests for hire. Your weapon would be a hand gun and its holster would have a chess piece, a knight.
There are def missed opportunities for 4th specsâŚ
Monks have 4 celestials they follow, yet 3 specs. We should have a 4th specâŚranged dps that utilizes crackling jade lightening primarily, and uses various blasts of chi and spiritual energy as our abilities.
Definitely makes more sense on a Priest. What doesnât make sense is that a Priest has to resort to Shadow magic to deal high damage, yet a Ret Paladin can fiercely wield the light offensively. Also, spellcasters in cloth are cooler in my opinion.
I feel the same way about the Necromancer archetype being given to Unholy Death Knights. I wish we had a true cloth wearing Necromancer (Warlock is not the same sorry. Itâs only just similar. At least with Fel magic we have Warlock as spellcaster cloth users, and Demon Hunters which are melee leather. So, Necromancer can still work in the game and be unique enough from Death Knights.).
Thereâs Fire Mage, Destro Lock and Shaman who use fire as well. Itâs a nonsense-issue that âit is a magic already usedâ. Paladin vs Priest would be a perfect example.
Yeah, people just say that to keep cool things from happening for some reason. Big contrarian energy from anyone using that argument. Or theyâre worried about too many specs being added to the game and ruining it because they believe the devs canât balance the game properly as it is or some other silliness.
The game has many years ahead of it and adding a new class will surely happen eventually so itâs just silly to act like it wonât or canât.
No, we donât want a fourth specialization. You donât want it either. The whole âI want a fourth specializationâ is literally just folks forgetting that if they expand that to all classes, then each class will require way more work than what already takes place.
They canât balance all classes equally and thatâs an impossible thing to ask. But imagine giving every class a fourth specialization to also need to balance, on top of feeding into everyoneâs âbut I wanted this version of my own class fantasy - why are you being discriminatory towards me?!â (since yes, that is how GD would react) âŚ
No one wants a fourth specialization.
What you are asking for is either a different class, a redesign, or more cosmetic options.
