I played it back then, but I tho lets give it another try…
Back then it was a good experience you can’t revive the old memories/community…
I just tried a little bit sure I was low level but I swear felt so clunky, slow. lame… and I just said nah not today!
How are they handling it actually? the abilities and losing mana and drinking and all that thing, no mount… Can you imagine that you have to go back to the trainer just to learn spells? lol

Playing classic on purpose, is just like eating cereal with your bare hands when theres a perfectly good spoon right next to you

People really have no patience these days. It’s all gone. Everything is instant gratification. Used to be we make fun of millennials and later generations for that but now even older adults like the boomers that have actually played Classic 14 years ago complaining about it being “slow.” I think it’s pretty sad.

Yeah, that’s kinda the appeal of classic.
If you don’t like inconvenience, you’re not gunna enjoy classic. Which is fine, personally I don’t enjoy it either.

Those impatient adults are the millenials you were making fun of 15 years ago.

Has nothing to do with patience. We created this evolving world, some can just keep up. Some get left behind and play classic.

Because human beings are creatures of habit … you give them a car and then ask them to ride a buggy , ppl get upset . If they never knew a car existed and the alternative to Buggy was walking they would be fine with the Buggy.

Meanwhile when I went back to play Classic again it felt like putting on a nice old glove that fits perfectly. To each their own.
I still prefer the WotLK through MoP era the best, but it appears that we’re just not gonna get that back.

That’s probably Millennials too. Everyone between 24 and 40 is.
I mean what generation do you belong to that you think you can make fun of Millennials and Zoomers? Gen X? A Boomer? Just curious

I plan to make a shaman at some point, I installed TBC already but I’m still busy playing ME:Legendary.

Frankly, ignoring progression speed, levelling acquisition etc. The gameplay of classic is hideously slow, even tbc, mostly because it’s less gameplay and more a visual representation of tabletop RPG actions designed for people on dial up internet.
I wouldn’t mind a more immersive / long term investment in modern wow, but the speed of actions / rotations is a real turn off.

This was me.
It’s just…not how it actually was and I think the community is one of the main reasons. I hope others enjoy it, but nah.

I played some pre patch last night and while it was really boring there was something charming about it. Maybe nostalgia? Classic has a really cool atmosphere.

Second hand nature to me, but I understand what you’re saying. However it made players stay on edge giving it an appeal than the Marvel vs Capcom 2 it turned into current era.

I’ve tried to play my druid on tbc classic
Still lvl 27 I chose not to boost it I tried it on the beta at 70 and the QOL shifting things just make it unbearable to me.
I actually played a mage back in the original TBC so I may try that.
I can imagine it.
It’s like Runescape in a way, slow and grindy. But some people like that.
Nowadays zoomer won’t find much fun in that, compared to go-go-go mentality retail has.

Except when it’s not instant gratification. Then it’s time gating and Blizzard sucking in your moneys.

What ?! RPG mechanics in an RPG?! SAY IT ISNT SO!
How awful it is to not be an unkillable hulk that can take on 5 enemies all at once.

Nah, we’re still making fun of them.
