I don’t read it. I set it to “what happened to me” and move on. Tilt proof.

chat should be clear during m+ runs… most of the discussion should be hashed out at the start.
but i would still keep it opened, in case some sort of SNAFU occurs…communication is a big part of teamwork

How are you supposed to read the chat period when people have so many stupid addons spamming the chat with symbols and timers? I don’t bother even looking at it anymore when grouped.

you can control what you see in a chat window, or open up a new tab specifically for M+ runs to filter out some of these notifications…because it does get a bit messy

It would be cool if you got the option to hide certain parts of the UI with the edit mode (like the talking heads, the chat window) instead of requiring an addon to do it.
I don’t want to see the combat log either, it just takes up space.
I block these players in LFR and can only imagine how bad it is in M+
The addon spamming chat for the season affix is nuts.

…be nice if you could direct addon spam to a specific channel. If a player isn’t typing, I don’t want to see it.

I use tukui, and I minimize by chat tab after a key starts. I can still type with it minimized for stuff like “lust” or something.
I also don’t use weak auras. I have eyes and a brain.
Only 200 swirlies? Must have been a light week.

You could direct /s to a diff window. Most of it is done in there and you’d still be able to see thundering call outs above peoples heads.
Just wish there was a way to automatically permaban people from WoW who spam thundering in chat.
I wish there was a way to permaban people who don’t use the Weak aura, hide out in a corner and cause me to get stunned.

Not any sillier than your suggestion to ban people for using chat to communicate about said mechanic.
It’s not silly to ban people for spamming. What is silly is that you think it is anyone’s fault but your own when you get stunned by thundering. Got a problem with your WASD keys kid?
I put my party chat into a separate tab, since it’s 4 friends and a random usually. That way I can check if something went awry and we can talk about what happened. Otherwise I just focus on doin’ my thing.
