Yea $15/mo for a few hours of entertainment a week is not bad. We will never experience the 48hour marathons or 16hrs/day for years we use to as kid. Not because we are not kids anymore, but because wow is complete and utter bad. It’s just exhausting as frick to play, when everything is instant, globals are 1 second with haste and less, no longer 1.5sec and you have to spam your buttons to top meters and beat other players. It’s actually a mind frick how exhausting it is, it should not be like this, long ago the game was about min-max movement, pulling mobs over long arched paths for proper grouping, dead zones, precision of mouse/keyboard, where getting clipped
will result in death. I told them this almost 10 years ago when wod was coming out and they ignored me so I pretty much
quit all of WoD. Quit mop too. They assured me, they were listening to my feedback pre BFA and had great changes coming. That they were reintroducing my vanilla aoe pulls with island expeditions and they assured me the game was moving back to less button spam and more controlled and about skill. It only gets worse every expansion lmao. Game has gone down the drain. But what for? Why? Guess I’m just gonna play casually now. Kinda have given up lol.

Let me know when you find some raid pulls that you can run through the whole raid, gather 20-30 elites as a frost mage and cone of cold them down, otherwise they will 1 shot you. Oh there has to be reward too. Back then we had gold reward, but now gold is meaningless, as you can just get it with a token. Don’t get me started. There are a million and 1 issues wrong. Vanilla WoW was S tier. TBC was like B at best. Everything has slowly trickled down and gotten worse from there! Coming from a frost mage with over 20,000 hours played.
I have to be vague, to write it out in detail seems to do no good for the developers either. Anything you explain to them, they either don’t understand, do the opposite, or just understand it and refuse to implement any of it lol.
Proper AoE farming, with proper rewards died with TBC, as every expansion there are fewer and fewer pulls for this. The closest thing you can find is m+ where a tank has aggro and there will always be stagnant mobs hitting you from ranged, or deaggro strangely. Not hard mechanics from the mage perspective. Compared to vanilla aoe. Vanilla aoe on a frost mage was not even the best part of vanilla, just one of the better memories. Exploring the open world, making friends, kiting dragons, farming mats, leveling professions that actually meant something were the best parts. Now all lost.
You ever see gymnastics footage from the olden days? Where the vault was just a simple jump and front flip? This reminds me of that.

Oh don’t be such a baby. I wasn’t impugning the old days of wow. I was making a comparison to the way the complexity of both has increased over the years to such a crazy extent. To where if you showed the modern version to someone of the old days they wouldn’t believe that’s what the future held. There’s a reason I have been a quiet, solitary player for the last 8 years, sticking with the simple stuff.

If it does not get emergency fixes, it will won’t make it through the next couple of expansions. It will be lucky to last 2027-2028.
$15/month for 10/hrs a month is still a good deal, but the game is dead and casual as frick now. We will never see an MMO we can play for 16/hrs a day for day after day until some company comes along with $3-5B to build a new one.
The current state of the game is good for no more than a few hours a day, it’s too exhausting to play in any other format. No way, will people play it for 48-80 hour marathons like in its golden era. The game is fried, beyond hope, too far gone, just a casual piece now.
I’m easy to please. Just glad that its been $15/mo for 20 years and hasn’t raised the price.
I wish it was $25/mo, no expansions and they just perfected vanilla wows model.
