Just queued into a random Eye of the storm and the entire team except 3 people were all group same guild/server. How is that possible? I thought you couldn’t queue with more than 5? It was extremely unfun for the entire group getting absolutely smashed.

Having it happen a lot on oce, seems since sl launches I face mostly oce players.
Some of the games have been a ton of fun, as it feels like you are fighting players rather than bots.

yeah they were from frostmourne.
its not very fun when they’re coordinated and obviously trying to maximize honor gains. these people were using gliders, mass cc’ing, etc. it was like facing an rbg team while being a pug.

As someone who leads premades, I know very well how the process works.
Only parties up to 5 can group and queue together.
But to get multiple groups into the same BG, or epic BG (epics work better), all groups need to queue at the same exact time.
Then, we wait the duration of the queue, trying to avoid taking portals if we can (those pause the queue) until a group calls a queue pop.
If a group calls a pop, and we intend on syncing together, we need to communicate with each other before taking the queue to make sure ALL groups popped at the same time. This is to make sure we’re gonna enter the same BG. If a group did not get the queue pop, we all leave queue and try again.
It’s a delicate process, but it works splendidly if successful. I’ve had up to 20 man premades in epic BGs. Larger premades are harder to do due to less room for error, so I usually stick to 20 max. Most of my premades are 5 man though, as this avoids this whole process and I often don’t need a full premade to win.

Expect more of this as the season starts and get on as a lot of the organized groups start farming for conquest piece upgrades.

This happened in Cataclsysm expansion too. It seems that all the old devs are gone so the new devs don’t understand what is happening.
I thought they fixed that crap. the solution is a solo que and a group que but you can bet the premaders would find a way into the solo que thats how they work cant cut it when they cant stomp pugs

Well the problem is that BlizZard doesn’t heavily enforce the grey areas of premade groups.
So now that conquest gear upgrades are tied to honor expect it to become more wide spread.
People like you are the problem. Premades completely eliminate the entire competitive spirit of random BG’s. It’s no longer fair when 5+ people are all in Discord coordinating against a bunch of random pugs trying to get bots to participate. It’s a stomp, you may as well be playing against bots on Easy mode. You’re delusional if you think this is fair competition.

It’s obvious you’ve never been in a premade v premade.
Those are super fun.
The game tries to pair premades together, so I often do face competent teams.
I actually mainly use RWs, so the PUGs on my team can follow along with the plan.
Random casual BGs aren’t competitive and never will be due to so many variable. Everyone is in them for different reasons, if having a Premade to farm everyone is one reason then it happens.
Most people do casual BGs to farm KBs and YEEEET with their superior gear and flex their power.

There will be plenty of casuals fighting on the roads with friends relaxing.
They sync their queues and make sure they pop at the same time before taking them.
So, the game ends up being super one-sided because it’s a premade raid on voice vs. pugs.

The length to which people are ready to go to not have a challenge.
I mean, if you wanted an even battle field, you’d just play RBGs. But no, all of that work to make sure you can stomp randoms…Congrats?

I love RBGs, but epics (Wintergrasp, Alterac Valley, IOC, Ashran) dont exists as RBGs.
Also, the season hasn’t started yet, so I cannot queue for RBGs yet.
