I think we need gold scaling

Since Blizzard has introduced the concept of scaling I feel like they need to take it farther. I think to help reduce all of that filthy WOD/Legion gold they should introduce gold scaling. When you visit a merchant rather it be tradeskill mats, faction items, toys, mounts, etc it should look at all of the gold on your account (per server) and scale based on it.

This would be the perfect way to remove gold from the game. Also it wouldn’t hurt the poor scrubs like myself that never has over 130k gold. I don’t like how we get punished with these expensive faction mounts while players sitting at or near gold cap don’t have any issues.

Make this a thing Blizzard.

Uh…hate to break it to you, but wouldn’t how it is be the base for essentially poor people and just scale up from there…? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I would just get a broke friend to buy stuff for me then. Tip them for helping me and move on with my day. Honestly though, I really don’t buy items from merchants that often. So it wouldn’t even effect me.

So you wish to have Means Testing and entered into the game? Remove the rewards of hard work and determination? I think most people prefer the current capitalism and free trade.

Suggestion: read up on supply & demand and how it works.

you know, I always laugh when people propose essentially resetting the gold. The truth is that even if something was done the rich would get rich and poor would continue to be poor

They practically hand you gold this expansion… 90% of my gold comes solely from Paragon chests with 3400-5200 gold and 500 resources each. Keep up with World Quests particularly those that double the rep as a reward, Daily Emissaries, Assaults, and those 50% bonus weeks. Try to line them up so you aren’t doubling your time doing the same activities. Just this Friday we had Storm’s Wake Emissary + 7th Legion Emissary + Stormsong Assault; it was 3 in 1.

I’m doing this with 12 characters and I make enough to buy a WoW token every 2 weeks. I don’t spend a single second selling anything on the Auction House or doing any kind of farming, I just play the game as it hands it to me.

My friend, taxation in World of Warcraft beyond the means of a necessary goldsink that’s entirely optional is honestly a bit silly, and kind of unnecessary.

Let the enthusiasts have their means of spending on radically expensive mounts. You only need one mount in the game to be along the curve anyhow, and that mount is still quite relatively affordable in unexpected ways beyond playing the Auction House or spamming World Quests.

Man I was completely new to the game in Legion and still managed to make a couple of million. I’m more upset that now that I finally know what I’m doing they’ve nerfed everything by 90%.

Collect herbs and ores and sell them. That’s all there is to it.

Terrible idea. Learning to earn gold and save it is most likely your problem. Admitting you have this problem would be your first step.

Would probably be worth it to activate my second account and buy with it. Just keep it gold poor and I will profit while keeping my millions of gold.

lol, anyone with a lot of gold has the ability to have multiple account where they could ‘protect’ this gold from your taxes.
