I think the wow social contract is fine

But it is really funny that blizzard is posturing to not harass anyone in their games when they can’t even hold that standard in their company

That’s fair.

I think they’re trying to stick to it now, though.

They’re trying to improve.
Why shame them for that?

They’re sticking to good pr

Wow so brave

They’re improving for the sake of business rather than having these types of policies implemented in the first place because it’d be the right thing to do

Hindsight is 20/20 or a 9 figure settlement

I don’t care what their motivator is.
I just care that they’re improving. It’s a win-win, is it not?

I didn’t care before the lawsuit or after the lawsuit

You’re the one that brought it up

I just think the timing of the social contract is pretty funny

What do you mean I am the one that brought it up?
That was the entire reasoning behind you making this thread.

if they go after people whom like to troll a bit example all seer’s eye before they log off then they need to rework it and not ban players.
or not helping other players to kill a mob that would be kind of f’ed up

but if its hate speech then its in the tos

I made a thread just to dunk on them for being hypocrites

Cool I don’t really care nor does it detract from the point

Go away weirdo undercover blizzard shill

It’s a Friday night, you’re making a forum thread on a Blizzard website to call them hypocrites, but I’m the weirdo?
Good one.

How can one be an undercover shill?

It’s just gonna be automated garbage that filters out whatever buzzwords offends people the most on twitter for automated 10 day bans

Expecting blizzard to hire real humans to review and rework it accordingly is wishful thinking at this point

now more then ever its time to race change to Horde

Yes glad we could clear this up if you need any more clarification please send me an in game mail

It’s better to do the right thing for the wrong reasons than to do the wrong thing. At this point we don’t really know whether it will make a difference or is just for show.

You do realize the only thing that changes is that you get a second annoying pop up to ignore, as you have the TOS. That’s all this is. That’s the big change everyone is crowing about.

Swing and a miss on whatever “gotcha” you think you have here.

Can’t change the past all you can work on is the present and the future. The social contract is a good thing, many online games have it. The rules it reminds you of were present beforehand. Don’t be a terrible person. It’s not hard.

Haters gonna hate. Don’t matter what they do, you’re just looking for reasons to hate.

Because the forums are full of naysayers and doomers that think any change Blizzard makes is the end of the game. It’s a new outrage every week.
