I think that Blizzard double-nerfed Old raids Farming now

Seriously though, I have been farming raw gold from old contents WoD and MoP with several toons and I just realized that Blizzard nerfed raw gold in those contents with their new introduction of level scaling. But after the squish, I am still farming WoD raids on Mythic and each boss drops for like 56 raw gold. Today, I did it both Highmaul and HFC on Mythic and each boss drops only 25 gold. I know that WoD raids already nerfed trash farming but if I kill those mobs, I got for like at least 1 gold and today I got only for like 54 silver. And I think that they also reduce prices on vendoring stuffs as well. Seriously Blizzard! Big THANKS!!!

Legion gear lost about half of its vendor value.

I can’t believe Blizzard actually treating raw gold farmers so bad. I don’t know or even don’t want to do any professions at all and I don’t have time to do those. So all my main gold source is coming for old raids.

Did WoD 10man Highmaul. Made ~600gold vendoring purples.

Ya, because we were rolling in gold from all those Artifact Tokens instead of Weapon drops.

I used to get more than 600 from this raid lol

I don’t wanna be cynical but from what I have been seeing professions are lackluster so far in SL so it looks like they are pushing hard for people to buy tokens.

I feel like they had a meeting where the big guys said they wanted Blizzard to increase profits while not cutting into the player population.

Token sales for paid carries is the wave of the future. Paid carries for PvP gearing, for PvE gearing.

Even the most dedicated whale mount collector can only buy a store mount once. How many carries can a player buy? 10 tokens a week?

  • You may use the in-game Shop to purchase a maximum of 20 Tokens per week.

so 80 tokens a month = $1600 or 11.5m gold a month (at current token price of 144k)

I made a good 6k just running brf on mythic, heroic, and normal. About 3k less than before prepatch but still good gold. Stop whining

Yeah I should have farmed a lot before the squish but yeah, you are right! its no point in whining now lol.

People wanted Blizz to do something about inflation, they “can’t” take your gold but they can break how you make it

You’re vedoring low level purples now and killing level 30 mobs not level 100 mobs. They probably didn’t nerf it but gold and value are set based on level and they never changed it.

Wait really?

Just BRF?

Yeah BRF used to give around like 9k but 6k if true is still pretty good.

Looks like Shoogen updated the BrutoCalc, just look on here for value of runs

If that’s accurate then you only get 2k from BRF now, which is actually a decently big nerf.

SoO looks nice though.

Until yesterday, I farmed all WoD LFR, Normal, Heroic, Mthic and MoP LFR except SoO and made around 17K gold. Before the squish, I could easily make 23K easily by just doing MoP LFR, heroic and mythic.

Y’all kill me. Really you do. Do you understand how the tokens work?

The gold from a token comes from another player. Blizzard does not create it. Player x buys token on ah and player y gets the gold from that player.

The price in gold on the ah for a token is a “float” as more people buy tokens it tends to go up and as fewer do it tends to go down. So limiting the gold supply coming into the game tends to drive the price down or keep it near it’s current price.

There is little to no incentive, and anyone with an economics background is welcome to show me a model that shows otherwise, to decrease raw gold in an attempt to get people to buy more tokens as this will simply tend to drive prices down over time from buyers running through their stock and not buying tokens. Some short term gains in token sales may occur but it’s is a long term losing idea to attempt this kind of manipulation for the company.
