I think Queens tuning is a little bit off

Now don’t get me wrong I have played the game back in the world first level where we were waiting for 40 plus hours a week. But I was also a significantly younger back then too.

While I sit here and appreciate the difficulty of the queen fight I can’t help but think the level of difficulty is to just a little bit too high. It’s been about 4 weeks in and we have not even 6,000 kills of Heroic Queen. Raz got over 20k guild kills. Most guilds barely get AOTC by the end of the season won’t even come close and most CE Mythic guilds just got her down this reset or have moved into mythic. In fact, most of my friends I run keys with are 4/8M 7/8H. Not because they can’t kill Queen but the gear is relatively weak compared to 10s and the first 4 on mythic. It’s a waste of time.

I’m in a guild on my main that is mostly former HOF/CE players who don’t care to raid much anymore. We are close to killing her but we raid 2 hours a week. And I only play a few hours here and there every week. It’s tough to spend 20-30% of my time progging on a boss that gives worse gear than +10s. And I’m filling the vault on 2 toons with +10s and 7-8s on alts. It’s just such a time sync for casual Moms like myself.

I feel like she’s just a bit overturned for the average aotc player, especially if mythic raiders have had this much trouble on her.

Guild tracking heroic doesn’t really matter. Many of my friends have been pugging heroic just fine and downing her.

It’s not always a tuning issue. She is tuned fine.

Raz was a nightmare the first few weeks too.

Queen is probably the most reasonable final boss (in an aotc sense) that we’ve seen in a while.

It’s definitely unforgiving if people can’t execute on mechanics, but the damage check is incredibly reasonable and we’ve had several weeks where 2-4 alts are floorpov most of the fight and we get it done no problem.

Definitely a big step up from the other bosses, but I think the final boss should be

I’m curious about something related to this. How do the RWF guys level 'toons then their gear so fast?

They basically spam M+ constantly while not raiding.

And I bet they don’t kick each other.

They have people that literally map the most efficient methods and routes.

For gear, they run “splits” with characters that essentially help them complete the raid/m+ but funnel the gear to a small subset of the raid that will be part of the core progression team.

This plus there was a Heroic Week this time around where they could just run Heroic Splits instead of even thinking of trying Mythic

Most AotC guilds are already on Queen when we have another 3-4 months of the season left, that’s pretty ahead of schedule from what I’ve seen in the past. Her heroic tuning is fine at the moment.

Most midcore mythic guilds are. Your average AOTC guild is far less skilled. Most of them are still on normal queen or early heroic. You forget that your average aotc guild is half carry floor POV spouses/friends and half tryhards trying to break out of the heroic curse.

All the AotC guilds I’ve seen that usually take 4-5 months to get AotC are already on Queen progression. I don’t think there’s any issue with heroic right now. Mythic Queen, on the other hand, is another story.

I would strongly disagree. For example my guild one shot every heroic boss and is still on queen. The rest of the bosses were faceroll by comparison.

The difficulty is fine.

She drops bis gear that m+ doesnt drop.

Pugs should struggle, its par for course.

We got our first heroic queen kill last night and it felt great. The fight is a challenge and it is nice to actually have to put in some work to get an end boss kill.

Yes, because with the exception of (barely) silken court, there’s no personal responsibility that will continuously wipe you on any other fight.

That might say that the earlier bosses are a bit undertuned, or that some members of your group struggle with personal responsibility in regards to mechanics.

It’s likely both, but that doesn’t mean the boss is overtuned.

You also will keep getting your damage and healing buffed until you can just muscle through it.
