Hey guys i think classic should have honor system in from the very start for when people are leveling. Then add battlegrounds phase 2.

No no no if the honor system is in from the start then there would be too much pvp and leveling would be difficult!

I honestly think unleashing the entire game at one time woulda been the best plan. Naxxramas 40 and honor bought gear included. everything.
what we have now is a mess, even if you are a god you will die, the “leader” of my server still gets destroyed at the world boss.

I played on nearly every major private server, and they all had the honor system and BG’s in at launch. It was fine.
On a fresh server people are spending too much time leveling and getting their BiS. If they stop to farm honor they end up hurting themselves because they fall behind getting to 60. On a fresh server people generally don’t go looking for PvP, they only PvP along the way, and are weary to PvP in places where they are leveling because if they gank someone, that person tends to come back to gank them, and that can set off the whole zone and make it impossible to level.
Also, since the honor system was released with BG’s on private servers, the people actively trying to rank spent their time in BG’s instead of camping flight points.
The only time PvP on private servers was a problem was when BG’s weren’t popping, or where faction-imbalance was so severe that queue times were longer than 20 minutes.
With that said, I didn’t think the honor system should be released at launch only because the PvP gear in classic will be the upgraded version. On the private servers it was the unupgraded version, which was pretty terrible for almost everyone.

That came out in 2.0, wasn’t in Classic. If you want honor gear you have to earn it the hard way. No redeeming your dumb arcade tickets for playing simple games for big prizes.
I like that the PvP gear is hard to get in vanilla, but the vanilla honor system is just awful. I don’t want people being able to buy gear with honor, but I don’t like that you have to PvP 10+ hours a day, and in the most dishonorable of ways, to have any shot at the top ranks.
I have long wished that the Vanilla Honor System was changed to be more skill-based. And I especially wish that you never lost your rank once you achieved it.
