I think, people that are rage quitting m+ must be punished more than the usual

Me and my friend going to mythic +14 yesterday. We have a high ilvl paladin with us, he is a good tank in my opinion. When we reach boss 3 (i think, the one at the corridor), we got 4 players died when the boss at 20% health. He is the only one standing and fight. The team leader asking him to go wiped so we can try again, but he keep tanking. Then, when boss at 6% health, he leave the party and tp out. That is really hurtful you know. Well, I know we’re not the best player you wish for, but we play our best and always come prepare with flask, food, and embalming. It’s cost gold, and not that cheap. Damn, can we stop treating people online like they’re not real people? I think playing with a subscribed game comes with a better community, but it’s not isn’t it?

Gotta be careful who you invite. If you are just trying to finish but the tank is pushing of course they are going to leave.

Be clear on your posting. Be careful with who you pick. There will be less issues.

good attitude to have. Since you can’t control other people’s actions, this is the best idea, to be a part of the solution.

Mowlaram gave excellent advice, you have to be careful and picky on applicants, regardless of ilvl/experience if you’re serious about progressing your key. Maybe even consider looking at their raider io profile to give you more information when it comes to their skill level, or your own personal judgement on how reliable/loyal they’ll be to your group.

PUGS have their own culture, and generally won’t be as emotionally tied to your AT. gl friend :revolving_hearts:

The cleanest solution is to find a group of like-minded people that you can consistently run keys with. Added bonus: it’s more fun when you can hang out and chat in discord while doing keys.

Yeah. I need to start adding “finishing dungeon is first priority” to all of my m+ progression. Thanks for the tips :grinning:

This is SO true! I almost exclusively pug and it can be either a great or horrible experience depending on how you form your group.

You need to be purposeful when forming your group. Simply picking the highest ilvl will lead to disaster.

sorry OP that happened to you. There’s a lot of toxicity in game and on these forums. blizzard is doing all they can with the social contract and new reporting tools. We can only hope the trolls and toxic players will be reduce.

Nope! You can’t police PUG content.

If you’re puging, you’re gonna have puging problems.

nah, just change the M+ system so people leaving isn’t a big deal

this is a design issue

My advice make it clear it’s for completion. My experience from when I was 1500-2500 io was not to take any Uber high io tanks etc like 3k, guys with 3k io tanks joining pugs are just practicing mdi pulls at the expense of your keys. They rage quit when they pull way to much and expect lower tier dps to be able to handle. Save yourself the trouble

Or just remove the timer from m+ and then people won’t have a reason to get angry and leave once they feel their time has been 100% wasted.

Is raider io still the best solution right now? I checked out that addon lately because we have ilvl and m+ rating from WoW.

I currently playing with my friends which is new to WoW, and it’s a bit tricky to keep their morale high . I spend a months just to educate them about the addons ecosystem. Slipping some lore to make it interesting, and keeping their mind off with the latest story.

I know the stuggle. It’s why I don’t really do much M+.

Only in the past week did I get my 2500 on another character for the mount - 1st season this expansion I did it, only because I really liked the red version enough to care.

But in general, M+ is toxic and I avoid it.

i think raider io is a great addon to have for sure, especially since it sounds like you will be pugging sometimes.

this’ll come off as super nerdy , but one of the best features with the addon, is that you can copy an applicant’s io URL and then paste it into your browser for a quick look into their page. You get so much more information from the website - for example - making sure that someone with a desireable rating is que’d up as the role their score corresponds to :100:

you & your friends/team have already taken the first step into m+ success since you guys are familiar with each other, so stay positive for sure

gl out there friend :revolving_hearts:

Sorry, but I am in a Muting spree.

you paid for flask food and weapon oil? thats basically nothing. Swipe your credit card and be set for months at that pace or do one calling a day. If you didn’t know the boss mech in a 14 I don’t blame him for leaving. You probably werent likely to time and it was definitely more stressful than him finding a good group.

Disagree. No one should be forced to stay in a terrible group

IO just needs to track failed / bailed runs. Let the community decide whether to invite someone who bails on 60% of their runs because the groups are “terrible”.

Here’s an alternative perspective because I have done this. Perhaps the player made a big mistake and is embarrassed and doesn’t want to get flamed by the group so they panic dip. Not saying it’s right but it might not always be as malicious as you think. I wouldn’t take it personally, that’s the nature of pugs.
