I think my 10900KF is defective *It's not; I'm just dumb*

Push/Pull config only helps so much. More fans = More noise. If You don’t care and want slightly lower temps, maybe you can slap slim fans on the inside for uniformity. Just need to go and buy #6-32 thread 3/4 length screws.

I’ll prob. leave it as is.

At present full gaming load even at “hotter” temps with a +10% power limit and a minor +75mhz core/+400mhz memory OC, the GPU does

70c core
88c memory junction
80c hotspot

Nvidia says 100-110 on the memory is “normal” so I still have some headroom for summer months.

Plus…I don’t want to rip this thing apart…AGAIN

I have 2 5900x maybe I can change your mind on opening the case back up lol.

I’m using it as well. Other options will be

EK AIO 360
Lian Li Galahad 360
Corsair H150i Elite Capellix (5 years 1 to 1 exchange warranty from distributor here)

Interestingly enough EVGA has a 5 year warranty on their unit.

I don’t think there’s any compelling reason for me to swap at this point - it’s hard to mess up the basics of an AIO - and I’ve resolved the issues (fans and software) so I’m good right now.

Maybe the fact that it will keep your CPU 10 to 15 degrees cooler? At 5.2 All core OC through multiple stress test the hottest temperature any of my cords have seen is 83c the majority of the cores havent seen over 77c in the life of the processor. It also kept the 5800x quite tame and I will tell you that I would not trust another AIO on that processor.

Me and a co-worker have an identical build the only difference is that he has a custom water loop and his custom water loop keep things roughly 4 degrees cooler then the Arctic

I thought the same way you did until I realized $125 for a 360 AIO is dirt cheap. I also knew Amazon had a fantastic return policy so I figured I’d pull the trigger on it and if it did not keep my CPU 10 degrees or more colder than the AIO I had before I would simply return it.

Needless to say after two days on the Arctic my old AIO went into a dumpster. Everything above is pretty compelling to me

Be that as it may, I haven’t had a cooling issue with the one I have.

As you say, highest I’ve seen is mid 80s in stress tests and gaming loads are in the 40s and 50s at 1.34v and a flexible 5.1-5.3ghz OC.

More good news.

From what I have seen from the leaked benchmarks in gaming it looks like an OC i9 10 core aka the 10900k or 10900kf or 10850k will still be the king of gaming in most games.

Why do you have two 5900x?

Rocket lake specs and official pricing.

Manage to somehow get one on Amazon but it was a pre-order that kinda just sat there for over a month. Kinda forgot about it since it got pushed to the second page and no charges were made.

Amd had a drop. That arrived not too long ago and Amazon decided to ship the day I got it.

$374 vs $450 is compelling on the i7-11700KF vs Ryzen 7 5800x, but the $139 (37%) premium on the i9-11900KF seems hard to swallow.

If they are anything like the 10900KF vs 10850K, then the increase just isn’t worth it.

What are you doing with it? My brother wants one BAD

Amazon is great with refunds. Send it back.

Or scalp it.

you dont want my brother to have the CPU he wants do you?

Real time memory overclocking will be interesting. Gonna look at 11900K review before I decide.

if its similar to the i9 10900k on FPS? I wont get it.

Isn’t the latency terrible now?

Just watch for benchmarks on March 30.
