Now, hear me out.
At this point with the allied races inclusion, their “Bear” and “Cat” forms are sometimes a little less… Bear and cat. I think it should be renamed to “Guardian” and “Feral” form. Included in this, I feel the base races should be revisited and remade to be more true to their base races.
Worgen, for example, could really use a wolf feral form or something more akin to their curse instead of turning into the… Interesting form we have now. I MAY be incorrect, but isn’t the current base form for them from Cata? Night elves should stick with Sabers, of course-- just an updated model to bring it to current gen WoW. Tauren could get some sort of Kodo form for bear, etc, etc, etc. You see where I’m going with this.

The druid could choose what form they want to represent their bear and cat forms from all the animals that exist in the game.
I want to fight as a core hound… or a hippo.

Agree- a quest chain to unlock Feline or Canine would be amazing! (Shrine of Goldrinn & Shrine of Ashamane???) I think a few name adjustments to skills (Rake → Gnash, Rip → Tear, Tiger’s Fury → Wolf’s Howl) might be beneficial for fantasy/immersion too.
I’m not sure what kind of bear additions would be cool. Maybe a giant frog form like the BFA frogs? Or a turtle form?
As shapeshifters, I don’t think these bonus forms should be race locked. We share Azeroth and the Dream – we should share familiar shapes as well.
