I think it's time for the former 6 time world first casual mom to retired

I think it’s time to call it quits after 20 years. I returned to the game in full capacity in Shadowlands. After playing at the highest levels from classic-cata then casually until Shadowlands.

Dragonflight was a terrific expansion. I could log in, slam a ton of keys or a raid in 2 hours and get off. I’d rarely log in more than 10 hours a week. I even got all 13 classes to 3k+ in a single season, a feat. No one has ever done before. And I did this without playing a ton.

But whoever complained that gearing is too fast really ruined this game for me. The time it takes to go from 615-630 is probably 3x as long as before. I used to be able to go from fresh toon to 4-5 levels below cap in 2 weeks. But now crafted gear costs 90 crests instead of 60, myth track goes 13 levels above hero, so the only way I can even get close to 630 is months of vaults and months of crafted gear.

It’s ruined my want to play alts too. I used to gear as many alts to near max ilevel every season. Did it on all 13 in season 3. But anywho, the vocal minority absolutely ruined the game for us casual players. Sure Delves are best but now we have to quit our jobs and ignore our families to play this game now. I for one won’t do that.

That’s pretty rad if true.
Playing this game casually and still being able to compete at the highest level with every class is truly amazing.

Didn’t you post another thread a couple weeks ago talking about how you were gonna be done?

I didn’t realize that 3k io in the easiest M+ rotations was “world first” levels.

Though this is a duplicate post, the speed of gearing hasn’t changed. Still limited by crests, only difference is that crafted pieces cost more crests and Myth track caps out higher. Still gaining the same amount of ilvl per week, it just goes higher now.

Yep.

It is literally the same post copied word for word.

Things changed from DF:

2 Levels added to the myth track
Too crests acquired in 9s (now 8s) up from 7s
Myth track is now 10s up from 8s.
Hero track drops in 7s up from 2s
Crafted myth hear is now 90 crests vs 60 crests

If this was dragonflight hearing I’d have 2 toons around 628-630 by now. Right now they are all 615-619. Gearing is ungodly slow now…

I am aware of the changes, the thing is, getting to 4/4 Myth levels of power is at exactly the same speed if you are capable. The only thing that really changed is that the maximum power for gear creep got higher so people could out gear even more content than they were previously over time.

Also, even if you were doing tens everyday, you wouldn’t be 528 item level right now. You are still limited on how fast you can get gilded crests and not enough weeks have gone by to reach 528 without receiving multiple drops from Mythic raid. To put into perspective, I got three drops and a Mythic ring from vault, also have three crafted pieces at 636. With the current Crest cap, that puts me at 626 item level until next week when I can get more crests to upgrade the stuff.

Its simple really, she isnt a casual.
I mean congratz on all the feats but casual is something she is not.

I was about to say this thread looks really familiar.

didnt you make this thread the other day?

The problem is the difficulty in key level is much higher than it has been and the gear progression in acquisition hasn’t pushed much further down the road.

Mom, is that you?

You never picked me up from school yesterday.

I had to walk!
