I think its time a villain wins

crazy idea but hear me out here and its just and idea/opinion yada yada
but i think a villain should win.

the horde and the alliance unite together as always to fight off a big bad guy whos out to take over azaroth for his own gain with a plan to destroy the two factions so that they can bring the two under their iron grip and use them for there own gain.

we fight off this bad guy wiht heavy loses along the way. lets say maybe even a few leaders die. we finally get to fighting the big bad guy and managed to kill/defeat him but his plan has basically worked taking our attentions away from orgimmar and stormwind as they both are destroyed.

we must then rebuild from the ashes! destroying the old biases and borders we unite under one faction with a council of leaders. a new major city we all can gather in. and we can keep pvp as like war games and stuff for those pvpers out there.

idk i was just having crazy ideas as i was trying to go to sleep. its prob not good but i thought id share anyway

I said this a while ago.

Overall blizz has chewed through all lore villains from the rts and early wow.

They need to let us lose and reset stuff and lay foundation for the future. They rocket from one thing to the next and its just a mess

The Horde got away with genocide so the villains did win.

Sounds too destructive and could perhaps come out toxic for writing.

the point is to be destructive.
the point is to destroy it all and rebuild it for the better

yes yes “waaaah the horde killed people and there not being punished” hate to break it to ya but both factions have done horrible stuff. and both have gotten away with it. this is warcraft.

I’m not too sure. The monkey’s paw would appear on concepts with big scopes.

The Jailer had a huge concept that Vol’jin, Syvlanas, and Bolvar hyped him up.

edit: Maybe i’m just scared of bigger concepts now.

thats fine!

idk i just think its time we completel do away with the horde vs alliance narrative and rebuild azaroth from the ground up

Secret tin foil hat theory.

We’ve been killing all the good guys Sargeras, Garrosh, Arthas, and Kaelthas. They were misunderstood. And we’ve been working for the villains all along.

Technically the Jailer won during 9.1, so he could access ZM, however that didn’t trascend to a new expansion, just a new patch on which you knew he’ll be the final boss.

I was really hype about Nzoth winning on BFA leading to a full Old God expansion something like that.

No villain can ever possibly win now.

And we come back to slightly desolated cities, and since we’re rebuilding, perhaps our heroes deserve a kind of “HOME” to call their own!

I like where you’re going with this, OP.

That is a very hard thing to do well.

I wouldn’t trust them to pull that off in any way at all.

Ironically Zovaal won at the end of 9.1 and no one gives him credit.
ÂżWhen was the last time we lost at wow?

i ment more or less like…a devastating loss.

like “we won but…at what cost?” kinda thing

I can’t find it now, but I thought I had a read a study somewhere that villains winning doesn’t normally field well with people. Their satisfaction level is greater when the good guy or they win.
