i was bearing through this new update. doing all the rep grinds, the item hoarding, and the time gates. but i think im just tired and done now. the final straw being that the only way to get new weapons is one world boss. so your main has 1 chance a week at best to get a weapon. thats it. you fill our bags with garbage, force us to grind dailies to power up armor, but when it comes to the main attacking item we get a slim to none chance (emphasis on none) to get a drop from a poorly made world boss. or just be in a raiding guild to do the new dungeons. wheeee, because thats still a thing. (que eyeroll). between this and the way they reworked rares to be more annoying, then hotfixing a daily so you can’t get items for an achievement, oh and also secretly lowering the stats on the yellow punch cards. this has become too annoying and shady, and i can’t guarantee they wont try to corrupt classic wow. but its my last hope to enjoy this franchise.
I hear the new raid and dungeon that opened today have several weapon drops. Nice ones, too.
Also, complaining about the grind, and saying you’ll be back for classic?

That’s me in a nutshell! I won’t be back for classic, I’ll prolly be back this weekend but for now I just couldn’t. I picked up all the Naz quests for today, about 8 I think with no pet wq. I went to start the water lord quest and I just couldn’t do it.
Hearthed and logged. Not normal for me but hey it is what it is, thankfully or surprisingly Netflix has a bunch of cool stuff I want to watch, so all good I guess 
So you think 8.2 is a chore but you’re excited for classic? Okaaaaaaaay.

Bag it, I did last week… Maybe they will listen if large populations keep pulling the plug. I will be back if they make a change other then this rep grind for unfun manadatory hurdles. Then there’s the pathfinder grind/fly. Paid way to much for this game to feel like a freakn job, not entertaining at all.

I mean, you can take reputation grind slow. I know back in legion when you had to unlock allied races through rep I just ignored WQs until emissaries popped up. I played everything else the game had to offer and they were unlocked eventually.
WoW offers a ton of stuff to do. You don’t have to force yourself to grind rep if you don’t want to. We’ve had 3 emissaries for naz so far and that’s 4500 rep.
If you hate grinding boy are you going to hate classic.
does not want to do dungeons like M0 where weapons are easy to get and plentiful
instead waiting for classic where the vast majority of worthwhile weapons come from grouped content like dungeons

ok lets clarify some things, yes im excited for classic. it was grindy as hell but you actually achieve something at the end of it. everything in classic was a time sink with rewards at the end and thats why people enjoyed it. how it is now is just waste time to have a .01% chance at even the most minor things. the grinds arent neccessary, they’re just busy work. rares have been reworked, you can still only loot once a day but now they are on 1-3 hour timers for some reason. so for a chance at an item you have to log in and sit there for up to 3 hours, kill the rare, get nothing, log off. its the idle grinding that is boring and im done with. if i was in classic, you can bet ill be running circles around burning steppes for 10 hours a day to get enough thorium to craft whatever plate armor my warrior needs. because its guaranteed my efforts will achieve something. currently its just, “oh you spent every day for three months to get that item, well i got it day one. your drop rate sucked.”
i don’t do mythic, no longer have friends that play and i am not going to be a tryhard for crap gear. i don’t do raids because i won’t join a guild in the current game. so yea, the world quest is the only way to gear up my character. and when the developers give you ways to grind out every other piece of item for your character, its a little tiring to have to get a .01% chance to get a weapon, let alone 2 because of dual wielding. thats a .01% chance, once a week, maybe if this world boss is on its own rotation from all the others which i don’t think it is.
so yes, i am tired of how much time they demand i just log in and wait. at least in classic i can find busy work that will end in something usefull.
Grinds aren’t bad when the game is fun. It’s when the game isn’t fun that it feels like work.
Quite amazing how those complaining about the grind of retail are so excited about classic.
